Growing taller with milk.

I'm 19 years old and my height is 5'6. Before when I was 18 my height is 5'1. I really want to grow taller that time and I asked my aunt what to do because she's a Doctor and she said to me drink milk everyday. I try to do that for a 2 weeks but it didn't really work for me and I decided to drink plenty of it. Like I'm making milk as my water. I drank 12 glasses of milk a day. 250 to 300 ml per glass. I only eat twice a day that time, only lunch and dinner because I sleep a lot. I woke up 12 in the pm. I really wasted lots of money for milk because I did that habit for 4 months and a have but it's really all worth it, I grew 5 inches and nobody would be bully me anymore.

I usually don`t believe that kind of stuff, but if it happend to you, maybe it`s true. I am short, and i need some inches too, because i feel so sad when someone tells me i look like i have 17 years old, but i have almost 24, maybe i`ll try it, but 12 glasses are too much, too much money spent, indeed.

you can do stretching exercise if you want to add a few inches in your height. We have so many hidden height in our slouched backs eventhough you're 24, you can still grow an inch or two.

My cousin had four boys and one girl. For each of them, before they reached fifteen, you could almost SEE them grow. The oldest grew 8 inches in a two month span before slowing down, finally topping out at six feet seven inches tall. The second at age 14 only grew six inches over one summer; while the third at 12 years old had the doctors worried over his growth spurt of 10 inches in three months. They were afraid his bones wouldn't be strong enough to carry his height and he went through all sorts of tests for giantism before they were satisfied this was his normal growth cycle. Oddly enough, he ended up the shortest of the three at 6' 1". The other boy and the girl followed similar patterns. Except for the girl, who totally disliked milk, the boys drank normal amounts of one or two glasses a day, ice cream, and milk in cereal. The girl grew to a stunningly beautiful six feet tall, while the last of the brothers was six feet two inches. For all of them the spurts of growth were painful as in every case literally overnight they would add two to two and a half inches. They would go to bed with clothes that fit and wake up to short pants and tight shirts. Their mom finally started buying everything at thrift stores to keep up with the clothing changes.

I really believe that... It is all a coincidence or so, but, i also believe that what makes it more possible is doing long time to sleep, because all human body maximizes growth while you are asleep...

The brain produces growth hormones after the 3 hours of sleeping and Milk is really helpful for our growth.

I really do not believe that milk will help you grow. I'm 5'2" and ever since about two years ago, I've gone through 1-3 gallons of milk a week and I still do. Two years ago, I was also 5'2". You can probably understand why I don't think milk helps you grow.

I feel so sorry for you dude. How old are you when you started your milk drinking habit? You need to have enough rest and sleep and exercise. Running and jumping exercise. Play basketball. If only drinking is what you are doing it will never really be that effective.

You are right. Milk has a positive effect on the height. Perhaps it is full of calcium and it makes the bones grow better. Besides milk, the sports like playing basketball is also helpful for the height. I love China

It can be possible as milk is rich source of calcium which is responsible for the growth of our bones.By drinking a glass of two of milk daily will certainly help us to keep healthy and strong as well as growing in height.

Wow. Good for you. I wish I knew this before when I was still growing. I am just 5'3. When I was in my teens, I did not drink a lot if milk. I just drank one glass for breakfast before going to school. That was it. Plus, I always just had 6 hours of sleep every night. I guess those were the main reasons why I did not grow up that tall.

You drank 12 glasses of milk to grow taller even though I do want to grow a bit more because I'm 18 and I'm only 5'2 so I'm like short for my age. Still that might be hard for me because I don't like milk at all only if it's with cookies and milk oh and also with cereal, but I never like to drink milk by itself because I just don't like the taste of it. It usually reminds me of cows and yeah I know that milk comes out of cows, but yeah I don't like it not very tasty. So I'm not a big milk fan, but maybe I will have to become a milk fan if I want to grow a bit taller because if I were to grow just a few inches more than I would be a lot happier. I don't want to be a shorty anymore it's not fun because you feel short when you walk with tall people, but I also don't want to be to tall I just want to be the perfect size not to tall and not to short is the way I like it. So I guess if it worked for you I might trying drinking milk more often, but I can never go as 12 glasses a day like you did because it will make me sick. I'll also try stretching out a bit because that seems to work too. Well wish me the best of luck because my journey of become taller shall begin today or maybe tomarrow. The other problem is that I'm lazy so I don't know when I'm actually going to start drinking milk or even exercising a bit, but hey if you were able to accomplish it then I should too. Well have a nice day and thanks for the tip from the doctor.

Hi crizjordan welcome to mylot, I envy you for having a good height, I do drink mikl everyday when I wake up,before I go to bed and sometime anytime around the clock when I feel like it but I'm still short I want to grow more taller at least 5'4 but I guess not. I am 23 years old and 5'2 in height, typical height for women. That is very quick indeed that you grew 5 inches in 4 months. Now I am thinking of making my milk as my water hehe

Drinking one cup of milk everyday is equivalent to taking in 300 mg of Calcium which is valuable for your growth process. These minerals are responsible for the systematic repairing of your bones when they get broken. That is why it is crucial that you get sufficient amounts of calcium in your bones so you keep on repairing and maintain your ability to restore destroyed tissues. Calcium in milk helps you build strong bones. As an adult, drinking milk is often disregarded by many people. Do you know that you need to absorb a daily dose of 1000 mg of calcium to keep your body on reconstructing minute damages on your bones. If you want to grow taller you should help yourself by eating the right diet with desirable amounts of calcium. You will not only increase your bone's prformance but you will also enhance the function of your nervous system if you make it a habit to drink milk everyday. You can also get calcium from yogurt, soybeans, cottage cheese and spinach.

You can take vitamin D and Calcium tablets. I take 2 Calcium and vitamin D tablets a day. Also I take fish oil once per day. I take my multi once per day too. I mean I am 16 and I am 6'3. It is true though because with milk or any type of vitamin D and calcium. You will grow taller because your bones store calcium. Vitamin D makes your body more easily to absorb calcium.
