Recently I helped a friend of mine with her social studies assesment. English is not her first language and it was difficult for her when it came to writing and reading intructions carefuly.
After an hour's work, we got the work done and as the teacher took a peak, I couldn't help but to hear the compliments: "Lovely Miyuki!" "Brilliant!"
I was smiling to myself - "Hell of a job, Max"

That is really difficult. I don't know. The only thing I can think of does not really fall into this category, but....
Some years ago I was involved in an accident, not of my doing, but I would have been the principle vehicle involved. A bit of quick thinking, a change of gear and flooring the pedal avoided a head on collision that could have taken up to seven lives.
Not a lovey dovey 'thank you ' from anyone, and not nice, but necessary.

It was. I had very little time to make my mind up. That's why I couldn't say it's the nicest thing I have ever done- because the other side were too stunned to see what could have happened.
Luckily a copper I knew saw the whole thing and was amazed that we all walked away. I just did the best I could- but I did have a 2.5 litre engine, and was able to work it.

That sounded very scary. A head on collision is the worst that can happen on the road.

Well, I gave a classmate some enlightenment or rather I introduced her to someone who can give her enlightenment.:D She has been having a hard time since last semester. She approached me a while ago, and I guess she was feeling a bit okey.:D

Hi, T_Diamond. About 5 years ago, I used to check this older lady's mailbox. She would be gone away to another county during the weekend, and I would check her mailbox for her. Every time that she would visit my mother-in-law when she came back, I would have all of her mail altogether in a plastic bag. She was so happy to receive her mail. I did not want anyone to just take her mail out of her box. She would be gone for about 4 days sometimes. I was glad to check it for her. She was so grateful that I did so too. This older woman has an amputated leg and she has Diabetes. She has also had an stroke in the past. And she has Cataracts in her eyes. My life was not going so good at this time, but I was happy to make someone else happen.

Speaking of English, I remember a time when I relieved for a company nurse of a beach resort here in our locale. A lot of guests actually get stung by this sea urchin that the beach crew couldn't really get rid of.
So there was this Korean man who got stung by hundreds all over the sole of his foot. Being a little scarce in English, he drew the sea urchin on the resort's stationery and labeled it "poisonous?"
He also drew himself with an R.I.P!
So I assured him that sea urchin stings are treatable by neutralizing them with Ammonia. I treated him for over an hour and he thanked me generously.

the nicest things I ever done to someone? was helping my friend from her problem, she was my classmate in College and she belong to a poor family. One day, her father met an fire accident, He was trapped in a building. And burnt alive. My classmate worries to much for her education because her mother can't send her in a private school. How did I helped her? I accompany her in the Bishop Palace to talk to the Bishop regarding her problem. And Bingo! the Bishop helped her finished College. She's now a Public School Teacher, whenever she saw me, she keep on thanking me.

The nicest thing I've done...man I've done a lot of nice things to people. One thing that I could relate, is that during my U.S History class. We had to write a paper or a story on a immigrant coming to the U.S through out the great depression. You can make this person up and that's what I did because, I had a massive imagination. My immigrant was a steal worker in Brooklyn New York, who was born in Poland, since I was part polish. I tried and made it like my immigrant was being interviewed in a documentary. It was 1600 words long, and it was amazing. Through out a year, the human mind can develop so fast, and make something brilliant. That paper I wrote was in depth, with real feeling. It made me almost cry when I made it. My U.S History teacher came running to me, when I came out of the office, because I needed to get a pass to my class room. He said "You made one of the best papers in class, and it felt real." I said to him that I was trying to give the reader as much detail as possible, because when you read something you want to put what your reading into a movie.

I guess the best thing I ever did for someone is taking care of him while he was sick. I felt needed and he was very thankful for the thing I did for him.

Hi,
I always give a seat in the city bus if i found any old age person gets in. The elder person will appreciate me for offering the seat.

If I translate for someone that I didn't know in school, would it be a nicest thing I ever done to help out someone? Or I let my friend borrowed my money, and I didn't ask him/her to pay me back.

My male friend had some love issues which troubled him a lot. I do not claim to be an expert in this area but apparently he felt that I am the only person he could talk to. He came to my block for several nights and we went through the problems he is facing. I try to analyze to him his current situation, letting him have a balanced viewpoint from an outsider's view. Although I didn't know the girl, I feel she is using him (she's not interested in him but keep asking him out and gave him false hopes). The issue is all solved now, he has left the girl and also switched his job. I thought switching jobs was not a good choice for him but leaving the girl certainly was.
Not sure whether this was the "nicest thing" but I put in time and effort and try to help him the best I can, wishing for what's best to him.

I remember it was about a day before our final exam where one of our friend lost all his belonging as his house caught fire. We were not able to do anything for him. However all our group friend copied the notes for him for every subject and gave it to him, so that he can clear the exam. We all helped him and then on the result day, he was actually the one who topped the class. We were close by. That was shocking because he was not the brilliant student among the group of friends but we were happy for him.
Years went and then we all headed to our different worlds. Now it is so sad to see that this friend of our doesn't keep in touch with us. The rest of us were same with each other. It's just that he changed. Anyways we played our part so we are happy that we helped him when he needed us. It's up to him to decide the way he deal with us.

Wow, what a story!
It's a pity that friend doesn't keep in touch with you anymore though, hope he moved onto greater things.
You did a wonderful job!

I remember the day when I was back from office , I heard that our neighbor was seriously ill, and she was suffering from vommitting and headache. There was no one except her son and her husband was out of station for tour. She was in very critical condition. Her son came to my home and told everything. I went to see her , and found she was very serious, I too was nervous, I quickly went from her room in search of vehicle , I begged all the owner of private vehicle but they just Ignored me . I was so helpless and was going back but suddenly on the way I met ex-Principal and said everything and both of us went to search a vehicle again, and at last we found and we all went to hospital. After she was admitted and after 3 hours she was discharged.I was really grateful to God because I have done something good that day and unforgettable day in my life.

It was during my school days. I was staying as boarding.Next to me, my best friend used to stay. She was a kind of weak girl in her health. That time I wont forget when I had taken care of her a lot sacrificing my classes. I was the one to admit her to the hospital and looking after her till she recovered from her illness..She said me that even her own sister had not taken care of her so much that I had done for her.But its all my love towards her and my true friendship.
