Do you think sehwag played carelessly ?

I don't think he played carelessly because he made 99 runs at almost run a ball we tend to ignore his effort in place of this if he had made 99 runs of 250 balls our opinion would have been different. When he is at the crease the team depends on him very much but he can't make 300 every innings.

I think that is what Virender Sehwag is all about. When it comes off it looks very spectacular like his attack against England last summer. But when does not come good, then it looks very ugly. Unfortunately for him this was one of the ugly episodes and he fell 1 run short of a century that was beckoning on this flat track.

You said right everyone has a day but you can't ignore he made 99 runs, I think his time spent on the crease was less and his percentage of runs were high when he got out created the problem . When batting sehwag does scores 60-70% of runs of partnership so after his wicket is down other partner might feel wary.

hello,
He was not careless,he was in a hurry.That is how i would tell .He missed his century due to his concentration on hitting boundaries.He want get his century in a stylish way,so he was in a hurry.I won't tell that batsman should not play in a hurry manner,but with intelligence.If it is a T20 match i would agree that he missed his century.It is very bad that he missed the century.Hope he gets his century at the third test match.

no i don't think so... because that is his natural game if he connected that ball to a six...then every one will praise him...unfortunately this he didn't so some of us may find a fault in it....i wish that shewag will play how he wants....

Sehwag always use to play carelessly.In the current series against Srilanka he has thrown is wicket to the ballers, in all these three dismissals he played careless shots.He is a talented cricketer and if he stops playing careless cricket shots then it would be quiet difficult for bowlers to get his wicket........

It might be wrong to say sehwag played carelessly as he know the team are fully depend on him and apart from this he is representative our nation in world wide so how can one do such kind of deed. Actually it is his batting style doesn't care whether he is in 99 or 1 he plays his natural game throughout the innings..

i too don't think that he plays carelessly thats his approach that is the reason that he won matches for India in past..if stop playing this so called careless shots he might make 100 next time but then don't expect to blow the opponent next time in adrenaline time..
