though the money may be less

I think he's talking about mginger, a site for Indians. I got paid by the site once.

I got paid INR 300 (USD 6 appx.) The value per SMS is just INR 0.20 (around 2/5 of a cent). And they have referral system also. I referred a considerable people to the site for reaching payout. Otherwise, it will be a tough job to reach payout.

I have heard about the SMS jobs but I have never heard of getting paid in coupons. I applied for a few Chat text jobs but they seems to all have some level of red tape or small print that did not seem to be worth it. That is great to get discounts but I wouldn't want to work for coupons.
