Movies in other languages...

Yes, I have. In fact, I see movies in quite a few languages. I see Hindi, English, Tamil and Malayalam movies. Other movies too I can watch with sub titles. I have seen Marathi, Bengali, Telugu and Kannada movies with sub titles. So I do see in different languages. In India movies are big and each region has a different flavor to the movies and if you understand those then you enjoy it that much more. Cheers! Ram

I have tried doing this a few times but it's very hard. I either stare at the screen and try to understand what's going on or read the subtitles and miss out on what's showing.When I try using my eyes and looking at both the picture and words I end up missing out on everything.I don't mind if there are a few parts in a different language because that gives me a change to learn. I think that it's great to learn through movies in live about other languages as well as culture.

I watched Korean movies with subtitles of course. The experience was good cause it was something that I was interested in. At first I was misguided but when I watched it many times already, I got used to it.

Yes, I do this on a regular basis, because I am interested in seeing what the rest of the world has to offer. And no, I don't just mean Hollywood movies, I watch a lot of French movies, Italian movies, Danish movies and Bosnian movies as well. Some of them are really great!

Yeah, I always enjoy a good foreign film. Some of the Korean films are amazing..Most notably, Oldboy..That film blew me away. The Spanish film, Pans Labrynith was also really, really great.

Yes, I do. I often watch korean movies and korean drama series. At first I found it annoying and hard to concentrate in watching since I have to read the subtitles in order for me to comprehend the lines they are saying. But since I came to like it, I get used to it and enjoy watching it. I find korean language sweet to pronounce, so whenever I am watching, even if I don't understand what they say and I depend on the subtitle, I still like to hear the actors/actresses talking. It adds life to the caption that is being displayed.

Since English isn't our major language, then I always end up watching movies that isn't of my own language. But setting that aside, I always found it amusing and challenging watching movies of another language. Of course it is hard to deal with especially when I always resort to having subtitles and having to read subtitles while keeping an eye to the scenes, but it doesn't really lessen the movie's value for me. There are also instances when I watch series that are of another language and I'd have to work with the subtitles. But I feel that it's still great watching the movie of a different language and just reading the subtitles especially when they are the original stories, because you see the intensity of how the story is intended to be delivered, than having it dubbed.
