PSP used for listening music

Besides listening music, I like gaming too. And for that purpose I'm planning to buy a PSP 3000 or a PSP GO. (PlayStation Portable) I was wondering about the experience of listening music on a PSP. I'm quite sure of the quality because it's manufactured by Sony. Has anyone tried it? What do you think about it?

Well, it is good.. it sounded like you're playing it on an Ipod.. battery lasts long but the sounds arent that loud. So I prefer using PSP for Games.

LOL! You're right! PSP should be used for playing games! But hey, have you ever tried to connect a headphone to it?

well the sound quality in the psp is great but the sound volume is a little bit low for a console. if your gonna use it for sound, buy a speaker or a earphone.

Hmmm, that's what I'm planning to do. I'll use an earphone for it, and using a wireless earphone would be paradise! Thanks!

That's a good point, 'Bluetooth'. But I think PSP 3000 too has bluetooth. Gonna investigate it. Thanks!

If i were to choose if it is between PSP 3000 or PSP GO. I would go for the PSP 3000 and be sure not to update it with the latest firmware. So that you can break into it and play home brew games. As for the case of the music it has good audio quality and you can use up to 16 GB memory card so that means that's a lot of music. I don't suggest you using the built in music player thou, I'd still prefer you put a special home brew music player to suite you.
