I do not buy branded clothing, it is too much expensive and some of them are too simple in design and some looks cheap. There are more clothing out there that are not branded that are more elegant than branded clothing and way more cheaper. And I buy clothing that are comfortable, looks good and not expensive.

I agree its pretty rediculous spending twice the amount of money for something with a logo on it. shoes are pretty bad for it to. i will admit when buying shoes the $20-30 pair are true CRAP. nothign wrong with paying 70-80 dollars for shoes. BUT when you see shoes for 129.99 plus tax thats insane. ive seen shoes for 149.99 before. yes of course there are cow boy boots for 500 dollars but im just talking about shoes here. what exactly is it that makes a shoes worth $149.99 plus tax? huge scam

I've never been a person who bought name brand clothing. I run through clothes so often so spending extra money on name brand is like throwing away money for me. In fact, in school me and my friends would make fun of people who only bought things because it was name brand. In my opinion, the only reason to shell out extra money on clothes is if its really really good quality that's it.

Personally, I think its dumb for people to judge others on whether or not they wear brand name clothing. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. I mean its nice if you can afford brand name clothing, but honestly that money can go towards more generic brand clothing or other important things you need. People don't need brand name clothing. They want it. Fortunately I don't live in a snobby neighborhood where people gossip about whether or not someone is wearing the latest fashion. So I don't really care what people think of what I wear, if its generic and looks good, I'm fine :) Sometimes though when my parents take me to Ross, they encourage me to look for brand names because they sell them there for cheap. The only brand name things I get there are jackets because I'm obsessed with jackets, not because they are brand name (:

That might (very slight possibility) have been the case when I was younger but as I got older I really stopped caring about what others might think of my fashion sense. I go for comfort and if the clothes I find aren't some brand name then so be it. After all, I'm going to be the one wearing these clothes. I'd rather find something that works for me then trying to go with brand name stuff that might not even be comfortable. Besides, these days people have their own styles so I don't anyone is going to look twice at the clothes one is wearing.

It usually depends on the brand. Some brands are really just very very expensive that it's already impractical to buy them. Worst case, I just buy clothes/apparel that have brands but not the really expensive ones. I usually have some sort of a ceiling price when shopping for clothes. And even if they are branded, I still make sure that the quality is good enough. Oftentimes, I find that most non-branded apparels have just comparable quality compared to branded ones so I usually end up buying non-branded items. I'm not judging but I know some people out there are buying branded clothes just for the sake of showing off or letting other people know that they can afford expensive branded clothing, and when they do wear it, they can't even pull it off! For me, it's just like throwing away money. So most of the time, quality is my basis for buying apparel. Besides, it's not about how expensive your clothes are, it's the way you bring it and how you pull it off that matters ;)

I could care less what people think. Name brands make you broke. I'll get a knock-off any day. Personally, I think if you get one style of jeans you've had them all, just in a different cut. Levi's aren't any different then other brand jeans. Sometimes brand names are easy to go out and buy without spending too much money. When I can do that, then I'll buy name brands, but if not, I just go get whatever brand is infront of me at a reasonable price. As long as you get some nice looking clothes that you make look even better, name brands don't matter!

Yes your correct, branded clothes makes you broke, and you are just paying the name or the brand of that clothes. There are many clothes out there which is more fashionable, has more style and has a high quality than branded.

I don't even think about what other people might think of the clothes I wear. I wear what I want to wear. I buy the clothes I like. I think that people who buy big brands in order for other people to notice that they're wearing big brands are absolutely PATHETIC. how shallow. wear what you like. dress for yourself. not for other people. I'm not into fashion at all, but I have style. fashion is for people with no style, who need to be told what to wear. people with style don't need to be told what they should be wearing, and they can pick out whatever they like and look good. regardless of what BRAND the clothing is. the labels should only EVER be on the inside of clothes. if you can see the logo on it, then it's tacky. it's just about showing other people you've spent a lot of money on something. money doesn't buy you style or class.

Sometimes branded clothes are much more quality than others, but sometimes not. It happened to me with brand clothes to wear very little time and it grow. Which is terrible in mind the cost. Really feels better in branded clothes and people noticed it. Yet the important thing is to feel good clothes that I buy whatever brand are and how much they cost.

I tend to buy discounter brands, or totally unbranded clothes, i just dont see the need for a load of extra cash for something exactly the same, only with a symbol or name on it. I mean, they dont look worse, feel worse, and most are even made in the same factory. Sainbury's beans are made by heinz, but they are just branded differently. I mean, how does 50p per tin more be worth a different colour can?

Well I'm the kind of person that hates brand name clothing. What's the difference between brand name and other clothes? Also most of the non-brand name clothes are way better looking than brand name. I really don't know how not wearing brand name clothes would make someone feel like an outcast or a loser.
