Hi myLotters, when shopping are you one of those people who only buy stuff from the most famous brands, the ones that are advertised on the TV, the ones which are considered the "best" or do you go for the cheapest, even if the quality doesn't compensate?

I choose only cheap things. Mostly it is because I have no money, but there is some other points because I choose to shop in cheap shops. For example, secondhand shops - there I can find clothes which hasn't no one in my city. I will never meet other person with the same dress or coat. I don't know why, but secondhand clothes are in better quality than in expensive shops. They are more well tailored and durable. About shoes - there is no difference to buy shoes for 50$ or for 10$ - they both will serve for similar time.
I think that people who buy expensive things from some famous brands, do that only to show that they are more richer than others. Maybe I'm not right, but I believe that some part of true in my viewpoint I have.

I prefer quality. I usually rather pay much money on a thing that has good quality, and it`s expensive, than on a thing that has a bad quality, but is cheap. But sometimes i buy things that are cheap, because sometimes, some things have good quality, so it`s a good investment, to buy good things, at a low price.

I try different products and then decide. If I like the store brand and it is cheaper then I will buy it. If the store brand is terrible then I don't buy it. With groceries some of the store brand stuff tastes better. I like the store brand pork chop coating better then the name brand. I won't buy Kraft shreadded cheese anymore because I have opened new bags with mold in them. For clothing once I find a jean I like I stick with it. I do wear levis but only because they are really comfertable and I buy them when they are on sale. Tops don't care what brand it is as long as it is comfertable and long enough. I am not one to buy a certin brand of shoe either. For a long time I did buy a lot of MUDD shoes but only because I really liked the way they fit and looked, they have now changed so I don't buy them anymore. My husband is a sucker for new items though and if he sees a comerical about something new he usually has to try it. I will pay a little extra for something if I know that it will last a while and has worked for me in the past.
