Today I am feeling very anxious because I am about to take a really big exam in under 3 hours. I have tried to calm myself down by listening to calm music and sleeping but I just can't seem to remove my anxiety. Please help. Any suggestions?

I suggest you take a deep breath and stay calm as far as possible, and always try to expect the unexpected even though that this is a bit difficult at first, but you will see that you can build more confidence in yourself though.

my teacher used to tell us that if you are going to take a big exam.., try watching a cartoon movie before taking it... her rationale is to divert our focus on the anxiety that most people felt due to an upcoming exam... I was not convinced until i tried it...and it will also help if you will stop thinking about the exam..try thinking about something else...that's more on diverting your attention...=)

Try to reassure yourself that you've prepared well for the exam.Quietly go through the material and be assured that you'll do well in the exam.Don't think of those thoughts which raise anxiety.Listen to a lecture by a spiritual guru, they normally have a calming influence on the brain.

When I'm anxious, i first think what causes my anxiety then i decide what action should be taken. With this technique, you can pretty let go of excessive levels of stress and anxiety.

Do breathing exercises. There are lots in youtube. That is the FASTEST I can recommend. If you know how to meditate, it's great or simple yoga exercise. But since you said in under 3 hours, just do the breathing exercises.

I tend to ignore anxiety. I also tend to see if the person has any chances of getting angry with simple stuff. Then I tend to ignore the person.
