As some of you are aware I have been away from mylot for a shortish spell (9 months ish and no not because I have had a baby!! ) but when I logged back in I noticed my money had been wiped clean! I know it wasn't a huge amount ($5.50) but hey it was half way to the minimum payout! My profile was still how I left it and friends list still in tact so I wonder why they cleared my account out.
Has this happened to any of you? How long do have to be away for them to do that, does anyone know? I think the cut off time should be one year and then delete your account entirely. What do you think?

Oh I forgot to answer your last bit
No I am perfectly happy with the way mylot have set things up now. We can be away for a long time and just make an appearance once in a while and even after years we can still come back and find all as it was when we first joined.
I think that's perfect because sometimes offline takes over but they give us the possibilty to still find our seat here

@ asamlight:
At the bottom of your profile you can see when you last logged in. You can see from your last activity when you were last active too.
We all have friends here and we could ask them to buzz us with a PM when they see that the 90days/three months is almost up. If you have you notifer on you will receive the PM you can decide to log in and avoid any problems. I do that with several of my friends here, including my upline, when they are away due to offline distractions.

Aww thats not good, sorry to read that your earnings were wiped clean but I think thats what they do when members are inactive for a while.
What do I think well I think thats Lame with a capital L they should only consider removing earnings after a year of inactivity but I guess rules are rules and we have to respect them but I hope that rules regurding earnings will change someday to suite reguler members that have been pretty faithful in posting daily, and weekly even monthly.
As for me I try not to stay way from mylot for more then a week or two to avoid losing my hard posting earnings, though I understand that somtimes being away for some simply cant be helped.

It is stated in the Terms and FAQs:
http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx#21
It would have been enough just to log in, even without posting, to have kept your earnings intact.
Now you know s oyou won't let it happen again
Good to see you back!

Hi there mysdiant
I am sure I did 'pop' in during that time, be it maybe once, which obviously wasn't enough. Thanks for the link and no I won't be letting that happen again especially as it takes me forever to reach that sort of amount haha
Thanks for your response and it is good to be back, looking forward to getting stuck into some of your discussions

humbug you must sign in at least to keep your money and account av tive before three months are up, like so many here you have no idea because you did not read the my lot admins information when you signed up. it tells you in the info that you must at least sign in even if you do not post every three months.it is mylots rules why don't people ever read the information. You would know all these things if you just took a few minutes to read the guideline, the terms of service, the questions and answers. what do you think mylot put all that information up; if it was not to help you know how to use mylot wisely?.

I haven't had this happen to me before. I know its sometimes two weeks at a time before I get back and nothing like that. I would talk to administration and see what they can do about it. It might not be worth but atleast you would have give it a shot.

Same here! I got around $4 I think and now I got $0. But yeah, we can't do anything about since it's part of the terms and conditions. But it's a bit confusing for me though, since I forgot my account details here so I wasn't able to login. Now that I got it back, I can't remember when was the last time I logged in, but on my profile, it just says that I have no activity for the last 60 days, not 90. So don't know what's happening... If it's just 60 days then my earnings should still be there.. But I won't argue about this since I forgot when was the last time I really logged in here.
And my opinion about the 3 months rule, I think its pretty fair... After all this is business! :)

It's 3 months (90 days). You can see it for yourself in the terms of use agreement at this link:
http://www.mylot.com/o/terms.aspx
It's towards the bottom of the page listed under mylot payments.
Unfortunately, it's stated this ever since I can remember. It's actually one of the things that caught my attention before I joined mylot (although I did forget about it at first LOL). It sucks, but it's part of the agreement that we entered into when we signed up.
I'm not really sure if I like the idea of having a cut off time for accounts. Some users, like yourself, might come back after a long absence. Wouldn't it be nice to not have to start fresh just because you were away for so long? There are some perks that come with having an account already, after all. On the other hand, some users might forget their information (login/password/email address for their mylot account), or forget that they even had a account at all. Now with those I don't see the point of mylot holding onto the accounts, but how would mylot know the difference between an inactive account that a member would like to keep and one that has been completely forgotten about? I guess mylot could always send an email out alerting them, but even then there might be members that may be having troubles getting online for one reason or another. Is it really fair to these members to lose their accounts because of it?
As far as losing any earnings, it hasn't happened to me yet. But like I mentioned in another discussion I've never been away for too long. LOL
Happy mylotting!
