We are new in the neighborhood and our neighbor is renovating their house with $100,000 budget. My husband noticed that the roof was not even so he told me that we should inform our neighbor. Because we don't know them and we don't speak the local language, I was hesitant at first but my husband said that being a good neighbor, we should save them from wasting their investment.
Losing face is a big deal here in our host country, we might say something straight forward that may cause embarrassment to our neighbor. So what I did, I told a local friend and let her talk to our neighbor in their heart language and in the manner appropriate to the culture. The next thing we know, they redo the roof and thank us for that.
Would you do the same? Do you have stories like this where you step out in courage to be a good neighbor?

From my opinium weshould be frank and honest to our neigbhor. If we love and respect them , naturally they will do the same, we should not misbehave to them.We should trust and love them like our family memember. So I really want to say be good to your neighbor as possible.
