heart over mind...mind over heart?

in my own opinion, it is possible... loving is maintaining balance within you because the moment you lose it, you'll also lose the essence of love itself... you may wonder how? well, indeed it's not easy...but the very first thing to do is to love yourself :)

Mind over heart..Hmmmmm...easy to say but very hard to do. There are times that you know exactly what is best for you but its very difficult to do it because the heart is so stubborn that its really very hard to fight it.

Scientifically speaking, emotion is from the hypothalamus which is in the brain. I guess that it is possible because, there are lovers that find beauty in the mind over physical attributes. You may love someone because he is organized, has a stable job, courteous, gentle, and understanding.

for i think it is not impossible as long as you have the will to make that thing not impossible. sometime other say heart must be over your mind and others say mind must be over your heart. but i say let your heart level with your mind. in life there is the principle in economics that always takes place that is "people faces trade offs" sometimes if we let our mind rule over our heart sometime we loose our happiness but if we let heart rule over mind then it is also the same you may also be unhappy and maybe depressed. goood day

Yes, I think mind over heart is important sometimes. You're heart can get you into some bad situations and some bad relationships. This is why you need to use you're head and think if the relationship is good, or the right thing for both of you. For example if you're dating someone who's cheating on you, you might love them but you have to use your mind, and learn to let go of the person because that is obviously not a good relationship.

in no way its impossible when u love someone really truely ..........

that is easy to answer - way back in highschool when i was not in a position that i love somebody. haha i would have easily chosen my mind to decide over matters. but in reality... really... heart matters most. not all things can be decided upon with our minds alone... sometimes we have got to have the heart too!

Sometimes it is impossible because the heart has a tendency to over rule the mind, that is, if we let it. The heart sees no reason at all, and even in the darkest moment and situation it will always find something good to even the most undeserving human being.... The mind always takes the safer side. It rationalizes but somehow sometimes the rationalization could be out of fear and thus, illogical. If I had chosen my mind to rule my heart over and be a little selfish and scared, I'd probably not in this painful situation.

I totally agree with that, they said that a lot of intelligent people can't think wisely when they are in love. You tend to ignore what the mind is saying because of your love to that person. Most of the time the mind is leading us to the right decision in life, in a path where in no one would be hurt but only ourselves. Sad to say if we follow our heart there's a lot of people who will not be happy with it and on the contrary it is us who will benefit.
