Beauty or Brains! what quality would you go for your partner to have? choose 1.

It is very difficult for me to choose 1 because I need both. But yes I can say beauty is not important for me than brain because beauty may be change before marriage or after marriage and by plastic surgery but brain cant change.

Beauty with brains...there's plenty of that available in this world...hence why compromise....IF this world was devoid of people without BOTH beauty and brains...then I may choose brains....

I would really choose good looks. There is no need for more than one smart person in a relationship(laughing). But yes. I would really choose good looks instead of intellect or high score on an IQ test. If you had to describe your partner for your friends you would be like "um, he is really smart..he has a PhD in Mathematics, also he can tell you how much does three million and a hundred fifty two minus one million and thirty four is in a second...". You know what I mean. They can listen how you describe him but when he or she comes it will be the breaking point. Either you're right or your friends are disappointed with your choice. And then what? I think that a couple should be first of all looking good. I've seen great transformations of people from bad to great and above with their looks. And they start to get more success in life due to their looks in the future. True story. The privelages one can get for his outter looks are countless so I think if you choose the smart one he can figure it out for you, too. Think of it from this view. Smart ones know that beauty is a virtue.

why can't we choose both?:) though many people here choose brains,will they really intend to marry someone who is intelligent but ugly?i mean very ugly.one of my friends once told me that she would only marry someone who is clever and not care his appearance,since science is very advanced these days,she would take him to have plastic surgery.because changing one's looks is so easy nowadays,but changing one's brain,difficult.oh,my god!

i personally prefer some one intelligent over beauty. for i enjoy talking about science and the world and other things i enjoy someone whom can be funny when needed. intelligent people make my world go round.

I have always believed that love does not need great thinking. It's just your mind that interprets what your heart feels. "A girl who doesn't think will only love, but a girl who thinks a lot, will always think, foreseeing love." (smiles) I'll go for the beautiful with no brains. I don't care if she is dumb as long as she loves me, after all, I can be intelligent enough for the both of us! YOU CAN TEACH KNOWLEDGE, BUT YOU CAN NEVER TEACH BEAUTY! (smiles again)

Both lol! I'll go for brains. Intelligence is one's richess that noone can steal. While beauty outside stay's there while you are young and have lots of money to maintain it.

Hi, For me, choosing a partner,the most important is his character. Beauty is not that important.but of course, I want my husband to have a perfect body parts(not sort of hand or leg). As for the intelligence, everyone will have the different level and you can't make a comparison for it. As long as we can get along well,have topics to talk to,then it should be fine for me. The most important is his caring and love.He must have a warmest heart. and also from a good family background.

i prefer someone whom i can relate with and be able to have a great conversation and exchange ideas over a cup of coffee. intelligence is something that sharpens over time while beauty fades.

I will always choose brains over beauty. Knowledge can take you as far as you are willing to go. Beauty does not last forever.

Brains, definitely, because looks fade for everyone, so it is not something you should build a partnership for life on. So for me the choice is really easy!

I would definitely choose brains in a partner over beauty. For one thing, intelligence is a more lasting quality. Beauty fades quickly but ugliness is forever. I would rather respect my partner for his wisdom and virtue than be with a stuck up fashion model.

I definitely go for an intelligent partner. Beauty is temporary and moreover what is the use of choosing a partner who is a dumbhead but with beauty? only an intelligent partner can make a best living with her/his pair.
