What would you say is the best state to visit in America?

I've never been to America, but hopefully will within the next couple of years, does anyone have an opinion on which is the best state/states to visit?

For me, New York City is the best place in the US. But if you are more of a beach type, try Hawaii, California or Florida. And Washington and Boston are great cities for those interested in history. That's about all I know about this...

It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a nice relaxing vacation I'd go to Hawaii of course. But for me personally somewhere I'd love to visit is New York City - New York. I would also love to visit California because the life in those two states is probably so different from where I live and I'd love to experience it. Florida would be a nice place to visit as well.
