Can gay person stop being gay or vise virsa?

OK , I know the politically correct answer is no, gay people are always gay.
BUT, I kinda don't believe it given the large number o newly gay or formerly gay people I've known or herded about.. These are people who got married, had kids and there spouses didn't knew anything about gay thing..hmmmp or former gays getting married and enjoy life i don't believe that all of them are lying.
What would be the problem if a person decided to be a gay or to stop being gay?Why not just admit it? It doesn't mean you cant be treated like a human, being just because you change your mind.
i don't get it. Somebody help me out..

i think that there are 2 kinds of "gay"
The homosexual, and the fake homosexual.
People that are really homosexual can't change, they are born like that and you can basically see that since little.
The fake one is the who follows the motion (yeah the world is broking up right), nowadays there's a tendency that i don't understand, they make theirselves gays because they want. I don't know if he is trying to call attention or what, these ones could be "straightened" up
My opinion, i don't mean to hurt no one, they want to, they can be, i'm not homophobic
