I just joined Saturday so I am still learning about MyLot as I go along. I notice that some people like to write very short replies to post.On the other hand I like to write longer post. Even though I write both short and long I was wondering if you have a preference on writing?

If you to earn in mylot then I would suggest you to write more. There are topics in which we cannot write long, for these topics there is no option but a try to write long would be enough. There are topics which are interesting and we would sit and write long. I usually read the discussion and then 2-7 comments as to how other feel about the topic. Based on that my responses varies. Generally if we sit with the target, for example, if we sit with an attitude that today I need to post 100 comments than the comments are generally short. When you don't have that target on your head, than the post becomes little bit longer. I think it depends not just on the topic but also on the mood and attitude you sit to do mylotting.

I'm glad that you said that because I was thinking the same thing. I try to get as detail as I can. I notice when I do that my earns go up. I understand that sometimes you just can't write long because the question as pointless. i like to only comment on questions that are good topics but I guess I too get caught up in responding to other post as well. Thanks for the detail information

It depends on the topic. If the topic calls for a lengthy response I would be happy to do it but prefer to write short and to the point responses.

It is far easier to write longer posts for me, because I have to change my train of thought far less. I can get the same amount of value that I can get out of one longer posts that I can out of two or three smaller posts. And the smaller posts really do amount to a lot more tedious work all things considered. There are times where if I just keep typing, I can elaborate a lot on the points that I make when I write. I tend to get off on tangents many times and that helps with the length of the post. Granted, not every post is going to be all that long and there are times where the posts might not be rather short. Of course, my rule of thumb is that if I can not easily post a couple of paragraphs on a topic, then it really might not be something that interests me to begin with. It really does depend on your perception of the issue.

Hi, It is not a matter of writing long or short post in MyLot...the most important is that you are responding to the right topic and your comment is answered to the topic of discussion. If you were to start a discussion, make sure you are writing something that it not written by someone else before,or else your effort might go to the drain. I always make sure my topic of discussion is not the same with Other mylotters and hope more Mylotter will respond to it. Of course, by writing more, you will earn more too,you can always include a picture to your topic discussion that you have started,it might earn you extra bucks. Have a nice day!!

Well if there is more to write about the topic i would, just to explain myself. in any case my minimum style of writing would be at least 3 lines not below it thats for sure, writing longer posts gets less attention sometime people get fed up reading it. anyway you'll get to know mylot just takes some time. always try writing long posts i heard those add up to your earning.

Writing is unique with every individual. They might prefer long ones or they would write short ones. One thing is for sure the length of their response or their discussion will be plainly based on their interest on the topic.

it depends.if the question interests me,i will write a long post.but for me,i think if you write long,it shows you think a lot on this problem.it also show that you repect the person who starts the discussion.maybe he will get happy.

Well i usually write long posts when I am familiar with the subject, then I don't mind writing a lot. Of course I write short comments when I am not so familiar with the subject, sometimes I do it because I am tired-on rare cases I just skip the subject without commenting.

Truly saying, I don't response to all discussions I read, only some that are similar to my situation, and I've got some experience to share. Some discussions attract much attentions but the ideas are nearly the same. I just can write long if I have something new, different from others' answers.
