I have listen to many preachers in my time, whether it be church or on televison. My favorite preacher that I listen to on a weekly basis has been Sheila Shuller Coleman of the Hour of Power ministries. Then I go to church and listen to the church's preacher. Sometimes, it seems like I click more with what Sheila is preaching than with my own pastor. Not saying that the pastor that preaches at my church is a bad guy or anything. I'm just wondering what you think. Have you gone to a church with a female preacher or a male preacher and how did you relate to their messages. Did you feel that one did a better job of preaching the word than the other? What has been your experiences.

It doesn't really matter if it is a male or a female. It is about how he/she serves God and how he/she convinces others to do the same.

In our church, we dont really call them a preacher but a teacher. Anyone can teach actually, if you are a male or a female it doesnt matter as long as you have the spirit then you can teach people and make them understand about the words of God. One of the most important thing about teaching, is that you practice what you preach cause it will give you more credibility.

I am an Anglican and priests are usually males but I must say that I just love the way our new parish priest delivers the Lord's message. She is not a he. She just delivers it in a very spontaneous and confident manner. You could tell that she really prepares her sermons seriously. If most of the time I felt so sleepy in the past masses I attended for a long time but she just has it.I couldn't stop listening from the every word she says. Our church is so blessed to have her.

IT all depends. All (well most) are chosen people from God to preach. Some do follow there own teachings and some just "play" church. They just talk the talk and not walk the walk.
