What's your favorite friendship quotes or verse?

Today is Friendship Day. What fitting it is to share some thoughts on friendship!

These are my favorite quotes but these are from fictional people. There's one verse about friendship that I love most because it's based on a true story of friendship.
"There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friend." -John15:13

I don't have a friendship quote but my favourite verse is this
"Mothers hold their childrens hands a while and hold their hearts forever."
I always thought that that was a beautiful way to describe how I fell about my own kids.

Yes, that is so true. Relationship between mother and child is something we can learn in our friendship. Mother's love towards their children is also used by God as an example when He said in Isaiah 49:15
"Can a mother forget the baby she nursed? Can she not have compassion on the child she borne? But even though she forgets, I will not forget you. "
