Has anyone else gone to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure? I did the opening week and we were in line for over 6 hours the opening day. The sunday that followed took 4 hours. Were any of you there opening week?

since I've never been to Disney World, no... I went to Disney Land when I was a child - that would be about 50 yrs ago

Hmmm... Well it was amazing. It was like stepping into the series itself. The castle was very detailed, along with hogsmeade. The lines were horrible, though. We had to wait 2 hours to get in to Ollivander's Wand Shop, 1 hour for Dervish and Banges and the Owl Post, 3 hours for Honeyduke's sweet shop, and 6 hours just to ride Harry Potter And the Forbidden Journey. All in all, we spent more time in lines than on rides. We didnt have enough time in one day, so we went on another day. The waiting was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to long, though. I heard that the actors were there, so that's why they had such long lines.

I've heard that's a real problem with these theme parks in fact, the only people I hear have a good time are the ones there with "make a wish" and disabled people/children, because they get to go to the front of the line
