Teen pregnancy is on the rise again. Whats wrong with these kids today?

Do they not see their parents losing their jobs and homes? Why would they want to bring children into the world with no way to take care of them? Whats their hurry to become a parent? I know at least 4 teenagers in my neighborhood that are moms now and all of them are living at home with their parents. I think this is an unfair burden to their parents.

Ha, it is certainly not because of the lack of education. I mean it is all over the place. If they only thought before they acted these days. We live in a society where people are suppose to be better educated, and smarter but realistically NOT, it is almost like the world goes back in time...
Too bad for the parents though as they are the ones who have to carry this burden.

Definitely not education. The girls in my neighborhood are all seniors and graduating. Smart girls that come from good homes. I just dont understand it at all. Yeah those parents were looking foward to peace and quiet so well deserved and then to start all over again.

Thats just it, they are not going to live their lives. Now they have the responsibility of raising a kid which means putting their lives on hold for the sake of the kid. Putting their parents lives on hold too by still living at home. And freedom? Some of these girls have more than enough freedom. Their parents are working two jobs trying to hold on to their nice home and feed their kids and provide them with things they never had. They have freedom to run out and sleep around. They have all of lifes conveniences like cells, computers, new clothes, even new cars etc. Kids today are lazy and dont appreciate anything. They want instant gratification and I guess that means parenting too. I do agree with you on the lack of wisdom comment though.

no offense, but knowing United States value too much about Freedom, these girls had turned out liberated on their generation. of course, they want to live their lives, that's why they do this. parents strict during their youthful days, then tend to cross the line when they feel that they're FREE from the parents grasp....in my country, spanking still exist, but lack of education here cause early marriages. perhaps, despite having education, they lack wisdom and responsibility...

Not entirely. It is a joke, yes, but there is truth in it. These girls think that these babies make them look better; they do it for their image. It isn't entirely their fault though, they were made that way by the media.
