Break fast! after long hours of sleep we should be breaking the fasting we had the whole night. what foods should we prepare for breakfast? should it be a heavy meal like 2 cups of rice and a main dish with a side dish or just a light one like just oatmeal and fresh milk. I would prefer to have a heavy meal because you will start your day during breakfast and it should take you until lunch time that you are not being hungry and you will get all the energy for that morning during breakfast so i suggest it should be heavy. If you are on a diet then just do your diet every lunch time or dinner time.

I think it all comes down to the preference of the individual eating breakfast. Some people do enjoy a "heavy" breakfast with several dishes while other people prefer a "lighter" breakfast. Some mornings I enjoy my eggs and bacon while others a bowl of oatmeal or a piece of fruit will do. It's important to eat something as breakfast is probably the most important meal of the day.

When I am breaking the fast, I have to eat light - a slice of bread or two, sunny-side-up egg and a cup of black coffee. I cannot eat heavy since our tummy is empty the whole night and eating heavy brings problem to my stomach. To fill the hunger after a light meal, I take a slight snack too around 9 or 9.30 in the morning.

People like to have light breakfasts, which I don't really think they should. One should start with a heavy breakfast, then a medium lunch, then a light dinner.. Reason being that you work in the morning, and still need energy in the afternoon.. then once you're home, you're not doing anything much, so a light dinner should suffice!! I work the midnight shift, so I actually do eat dinner (my breakfast) first, then a medium "lunch", then a light breakfast (my dinner) then watch some television then sleep.. Some researchers say using the inverted pyramid to have your meals is a good way of being healthy.

For me it really depends. . in the mornings during school, I prefer to have a light breakfast actually because I'm going to be sitting in lecture for an hour and a half and don't want to be constantly going to the bathroom. .which happens to me a lot when I do decide to have a big breakfast. .on vacation though, I sleep in past breakfast anyway so the first meal I eat during the day is at lunch ^^;. .even though I know staying up too late is bad, it's just a habit I couldn't stop whenever I get summer break from school (:

I prefer a heavy breakfast and the following meals like lunch and dinner should be light. I'm now on diet and one of my secret in dieting is answering and participating discussions so I'll forget to eat.

I'm not a breakfast eater person so it's not really a big meal for me. Coffee may suffice and maybe a little bread. But when I don't have enough sleep I take on rice meals for breakfast to boost a little energy on my system.Well it all comes down to the energy that you need for the day or make that early hours of the day before lunch. But when on a diet I suggest to do it on dinner time since you wont be needing so much source of energy before going to sleep.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and no one should miss that. It must be very heavy. There's a saying that goes: eat like a king at breakfast, a prince at lunch, and a pauper at dinner.

I tried eating both a light and heavy breakfast. I find out that I usually get hungry when I eat a light breakfast like an oatmeal or cereal only. Now, I always eat a heavy breakfast. On weekdays, I eat a bigger bowl of chocolate oatmeal, one slice of wheat bread with peanut butter, and a banana or apple. I usually drink juice too with my breakfast. I find that I get hungry only during lunchtime already and not any time before lunch.

Hi, For breakfast, I prefer to have something light, not a heavy meal. Unless if I were on my holiday trip and staying in hotel, then I will eat more as they serve buffet and I just can't resist to eat and eat. For daily, I cook my own breakfast, once a while, then will go out eat with my husband after my son to school. I always prepare sandwich, fried noodle, porridge or instand noodle or some cakes. With a cup of hot tea or barley water.

Breakfast is our most important meal of the day. We need to eat depending on our energy level for the day. We don't want to eat too lightly and then be hungry later. We also don't want to eat too heavily because then we don't perform our daily tasks well. Somewhere in the middle is the best place for breakfast.

i prefer heavy breakfast..lighter lunch and very light dinner..since they say that the most important meal in the entire day is breakfast... it gives you the energy to perform your tasks for that day..but if you're not used to it..you may opt on little snacks in between meals... usually.., i have egg for breakfast with bread or rice plus coffee..then i eat every four hours after that..small frequent feedings keep me on the move..=)

I think it's best to start the day with a bigger meal, too. This way, your body has energy to use throughout the day. I have met a lot of people that do not like to eat breakfast at all, but I also find that these people tend to eat a lot more through out the day.

I'm on a diet, and I think it depends on how the diet is working. On the diet I'm on that is where the filling foods come in. I prefer to have something light for breakfast and lunch, and for supper have what I want to have, which is something filling and a little heavier than what I had for the previous two meals. However, my diet changes when I have a day off of work. Then, I'll back down and have like an omelet, and just try to watch the point factor with the other two meals.

I usually forget to eat breakfast because I never feel hungry for it. I'm not hungry for lunch and I need to go eat right now.

Breakfast is the most important meal on a daily basis. But Having heavy meal is not so necessary. There are meals that are light yet full of carbo that you need for the whole day. ;)

A heavy meal is probably best. You'll be burning it off throughout the day anyway.

Heavy meals to get that start of the day off right. You have all day to digest and sets the mood for the rest of the day.
