Really it all depends on what you are looking for in a computer. Macs are great for business and media production, but lacks much of the variety a PC has including computer games. Mac almost never get viruses, because no one designs viruses for the Mac, another good reason for a business computer. The price comparison between a Mac and a PC are very different however, Mac parts often cost four times what PC computer parts do. So basically, Mac is job specific, PC is more adaptable and cheaper.

The guy on the commercial is absolutely right - the same old Microsoft Winodws XP or Vista is on Windows 7. The same old problems of Microsoft's Operating Systems still exists on Windows 7. In short it is not an ideal technology anymore or it is becoming an obsolete technology. Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer admitted recently that Microsoft is 3 years behind on their technology of their Operating System. On Windows 7, Microsoft did was change how it looks or feels but doesn't alleviate the experience of working smoother and cooler. And it always cause on memory leaks, denial of services, physical damages due to overheat and stress of the CPU, RAMs, Hard Disk Drives. Can lead also to human heartaches, headaches and paranoia.
On Apple Macs what we paid for, are the high quality standard of computer technologies. Heartaches and headaches are not included. In short, simplicity is power and just have a lot of common sense. It just work greatly.

It depends on your preferences. The answer depend less on your hardware preferences and more on your computing philosophy. If you like a close integration between hardware and software, then it's mac. If you want the freedom to choose between a wide range of system components and peripherals and applications then go for a pc.
