everyone say that AVG is the best free antivirus but i don`t thing so.
A AVG free edition have too much thing in it, also the premium edition, it is too big for our pc, it take my pc down with it.
Here i provide Avira ANTIVIR is better than AVG, it have enough module to protect us from virus, malware, though it`s the free version. it run fast and my pc run in formal.
it`s also protect us from malicilous when we surfing internet.
OR you can try nod 32 on demand scanner for unconnect pc. it`s very good.
or you can have trial version in www.eset.com this is my best antivirus without paying.
if you have other ideas, tell me!

My hubby and I tried AVG and it didn't work. We seemed to get more viruses after putting it on the computer. We started looking for a better antivirus and used avast for a time but since we switched to Rising antivirus, we have a much healthier computer.

In the past, I always used AVG too. Everyone kept telling me it is a good one. I used it and always kept it updated. But viruses still somehow always seem to enter my computer. I finally got fed up and tried tons of other anti-virus software. I also tried Avira. I did not like it though. As for Nod32, it is okay.

Hello grandthorn....
Upto my knowledge the best free strong antivirus is kaspersky. But its free edition is limited upto one month, you can try it if you want to scan your affected computer and free it from viruses. After you clean your computer install comodo internet security,it is an excellent firewall and will keep your computer away from further incoming viruses. If you have further questions do reply back, have a nice day.....

I sue three free programs and they've worked fine. They are MalwareBytes, Microsoft Security Essentials and Spybot Search & Destroy. They work fine and they've kept viruses off my computer.

I use MSE. Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) is a free antivirus software product created by Microsoft that provides protection against different types of malware such as computer virus, spyware, rootkits and trojan horses for Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
