how old are you when you first have a best friend?

I remember having my first "Best Friend" when I was 5-6 years old. We were inseparable and I told her everything. She moved when we were 14 and I can't really say that I have had a friendship quite like that one since. I do maintain friendships with most of my ex's and I do have a few really close friends, but I do not have anyone that I would consider my best friend. I think it is important to be friends with the person you love and I am glad that the two of you experienced that. I am sorry that it didn't work out for you. I hope that you will be able to move forward and find that feeling with someone new.

so your bestfriend became your girlfriend? I have so many close friends when I was young. I can consider them as my close friend as I have different person as my close friend every couple of years when I was in grade school. The friend I have now is i consider my friend as she knows everything that is happening to me, as I shared everything to her and she already knows my attitude. So I guess, i have only one bestfriend at the age of 27 and that is my bestfriend now.

Yes I remember her last name. We were friends until I moved from Yreka, Ca. I was there about 3yrs. She and I did everything together. If we were together today I don't know if we would be friends. That was many years ago. I remember many things we did together. I guess my second best friend was when I was about 15yrs. We stayed friends through some of our adult years. I was in the military and transferred overseas. That's when I lost contact with her. We sewed together, raised dogs together. She taught me how to slaughter chickens. Aw her name just came to me, Linda K. I remember the things we did together to this day. Would we still be friends, probably not. My husband did not like her. Prosperous mylotting

Around six. :) My best friend was Sadhana Goswami, known to everybody as Sweetie. I still remember her birthday, September 1st! :) We both were in boarding school, our beds were adjacent to each other, and the hostel matron used to have a wonderful time troubling both of us because we never had as many visitors. My father was busy with his work, I lost my mother, her parents were in Tanzania. So we could never really complain. :) I guess, that pain brought us closer. :)

I had my best friend at my 13, but nothing special memory. it is over in one year because she moved her school,...

The first best friend I had was when I was in grade school and we began to run separate lives when we went into high school. Eventually, I moved away and into another county. Later on, I came back to my hometown to actually re-connect with her as adults. I still know her to this day and have connected on Facebook of all places.

I have a lot of childhood friends but I can say God gave me my best friend for 15 years going 16 now when I was in 3rd year high school. I was 13 years old that time. Time runs so fast and I thank God for taking care of our friendship until now. Though I miss her so much because we are miles away from each other I look at the nearest star every night and tell myself that she's not that far from me.

well...let me think for a while...about when i was 10 i had my 1st best friend and of course is a boy...we are have common interestings, and when i was play with him i fell so happy but one day he was gone, moved to another place and since then we haven't seen each other before...i am now so miss him...

The first time I really had a best friend who I can share anything with is at 13 years old. We have so many in common and can learn from each other. She is come from really wealthy family and first I don't realize it because she is so humble and sometimes using public transportation. I know it when I come to her house after school, I really shocking to see her house its big and luxury. I am from wealthy family but she seem not care. We are still friend until this day.

Well I never had to many friends when I was younger since we moved so much and I always bean a shy person.So I can't remember when I had my first friend.

My best-friend is my childhood friend! Even now she's in Kuwait, we still have time to chat, talk about our work and our life now.

I have a best friend which I know her when I was 5 years old. We study at the same school from kindergarden until high school. Now we still as close as like family.

Since I was a child, I have a bestfriend or bff. And I know she is my childhood bestfriend. We played together, go to school together, and eat together our meals. We are very close to each other. My friend's name is carol and i still remember the when we meet for the first time. I was only four when we become friends. We are still very close and we are going to be friends till our body turn into ashes. I just love to chat with him, hanging out, dinners, party, etc.

dear crizjordan, it was probably in grade school, maybe 7 years old .. when i started. she is a neighbor and we go together and stay together in class. at home, either she goes to our home or sometimes, me to their home and play or while doing our assignments. we parted ways when their family transferred residence to a far place. have a nice day. ann

My first best friend is my elementary school classmate. And I'm 10 years old. But we had a big fight and never speak to each other.It was approved to be a misunderstanding, what a pity!

i cold not remember it but as far as i remember i was still in elementary/primary grade when i had my first best friend it was really cool that time because i was skinny she became my bodyguard because i was always bullied by my boys classmate.

I can't really say I've had one spacific "Best friend." I've had a lot of friends over the years. Sometimes we drift apart over the years, or some way or another become less close. I have friends who I'm really close with but you never know what's going to happen in two or more years. I always make a lot of friends, and I think because of that my friendships change more rapidly.
