I prefer Non wide screen for TV's and Computer monitors

I owned 19 inch widescreen LCD monitor a year ago. I cant stand how the images are distorted. i dont understand why there so popular? wide screen does not show the true size of an object or person being displayed on the screen. a persons head will be an extra inch shorter and 2 inches wider. especially when it comes to video games it really is annoying playing with untrue images for hours straight. I dont mind LCD monitors but ill never buy a widescreen one again

Are you aware that you can change the settings on wide screen tv's, through the modes. So you can make it the "right ratio" if you dont like the picture being distorted. I personally quite like widescreen, you can see it easier, and from further away, and the quality of the picture is quite good. However, i think nowadays, if you are thinking of getting a tv, your better off going for HD rather than wide screen.

yes i am aware of changing the differnt specs of the monitor. your desktop will always be a little bit rider nomatter what spect you change it to.

yes, i know that there is a difference. they say youll be fatter in a wide screen one. i have seen a video before comparing the old tv, the lcd tvs and the wide screen tv and there is really a noticeable difference.

I love my widescreens (monitor and tv). I have a hard time when I jump on the computer in my sons room or when i'm watching tv in the kitchen where we have the old style. Everything seems to small and hard to see. I don't think I could ev er go back to a regular monitor or tv on a regular basis.

Hello my friend,
I am also using a 19 inch LCD monitor but i am enjoying its display.It may be because i dont play a lot of games on computer.If you dont enjoy gaming in this monitor then you can change it and buy a 21 inch monitor.This 21 inch monitor will support 4:3 aspect ratio instead of 16:10 ratio of 19 inch one,which would be more comfortable for you.Have a nice day.......

Mostly some movies that you'll be watching are wide screen format. I also do not like those I prefer those square type but in some cases I'm having problem watching those wide screen format movies in my computer so I bought my own 32 inch LED monitor and it was so fascinating feels like I'm the cameraman of the movie lol.
