I have just had the most wonderful weekend.
My daughter is getting married next year and at the weekend we went looking at dresses. yes looking. but were told that you need at least 10 months to sort out the dresses and there we were thinking we were too early.
Anyway to all you daughters out there when you go to look for The dress I hope you will take your Mums as for me to see my daughter try on her wedding dress is undescribably wonderful. It really made me feel like a mother of the bride and yes I did hide a tear but got spotted! I am so lucky as sometimes brides to be take their best friend and forget about Mum my eldest daughter did and so I missed this wonderful feeling although I love both daughters x

MAllen400,
I'm so happy for you. I have 2 sons and a little girl. I know if the Lord spears our lives and when her day comes to wed I'm hoping that we will be able to give her a nice wedding and I too will be able to go with her when she begins looking for a dress for her big day.

I do felt excited reading your topic here.
I had one and only daughter and still young and still on with her studies.
But i felt excited thinking how lovely she would be like when the right time comes for her to become a bride .
I was married on civil wedding so i was not able to wear gown, but i fitted many wedding gowns coz my mother in law is a dressmaker and designer.
She always make me wear and modeled wedding dress on her parlor when bride to be come to take a look for their wedding dress.
Here in my country it is not allowed for bride to be to wear their wedding gowns before the wedding.
So i wear first their wedding gowns so they can see how does it look when wore in actual
Congratulations to your daughter and wish her all the best of everything.
