What is the advantages of using a sony e-reader or amazon kindle

I keep hearing about these devices called a sony e-reader or amazon kindle that you can download books into. What is the advantage of using one of these over just reading out of a plain old book. Can you adjust the screen to make the text bigger is it easier on your eyes how many books will they hold anything you can tell me about them would be helpful. Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can adjust text size. I'm not sure how many books each one holds. The idea is that you can carry many many books on a small device instead of lugging around books.
I prefer a hard copy of a book and can't really read off a screen for too long, so I'm really not the best person to help you. You're best bet is to go to the device's webpages.
