I've never personally had a lucid dream. Moastly because I dont want to be able to control my dreams I just want to dreama nd enjoy my subconsious and possible visions. I enjoy sleeping and dreamsing and find that I learn a lot about myself in the process.
My ex boyfriend constantly talked to me about these lucid dreams and it was his goal to experience one. He got to the point where he would convince himself and realize that ti was a dream but wouldnt be able to ciontrol it.
I dont see the glamour in controling it. Why wouldnt you just daydream instead? Why do you feel the need to control everything in your life right down to your subconscious?
Occasionally when I wake up duriong a dream but am still able to fall asleep and continue the dream I realize that it is a dream and know in the back of my mind that waht Im dreaming and thinking and experiecneing is in fact a dream but I try to push it aside and escaope in my dreamworld.

interesting mate, i respect your opinion, but particularly i think lucid dreams are a nice experience for me, but we have to do what make us feel better, and even you're not controling your dreams you analyze them and learn with your dreams, this is the important thing.

Lucid dreaming really just means that you're aware that you are dreaming. Control over the dream is something that loads of lucid dreamers practice, but it's not necessary to have control in order to experience a Lucid dream. I like lucid dreaming because when I'm aware that I'm dreaming I pay more attention and I remember more details. It's more like exploring the mind to me. I'm not that good at controlling dreams.

yes, I have had a few lucid dreams. I think a great technique in allowing yourself to have a lucid dream is to keep telling yourself that you are going to have one. Before you go to sleep, just keep telling yourself; "I will have a lucid dream" over and over. All of mine have involved me flying and it was amazing. You have complete control over what you do and where you go.

yeah, many times in a day i ask myself ''is this a dream?'' and for my surprise sometimes i answer myself ''yes this is a dream'' then i become lucid. Most people wake when realize that they are dreaming, so, when i realize i'm waking, i use the Stephen LaBerge's technique of spin my body in the dream, So i can keep dreaming normally.

I've had loads of lucid dreams. I really started lucid dreaming kinda by accident. I've always been really interested in the science of dreams, and I love to talk about my dreams and dream journal. I've been dream journaling since I was 12. I started having dreams where I knew I was dreaming just because I recognize the dream world so well. I can't really control my dreams all that well. I can really only choose to take the dream somewhere other than homework. I usually have lucid dreams in the early morning after I've just woken up and gone back to sleep.
