REALITY CHECK
by Gary D. Timothy
[a Drabble - exactly 100 words]
It was another reality check - the strangest and most terrifying one I'd ever had. My psychiatrist tried to calm me, but I just couldn't shake the awful trauma of my experience. Lucid dream therapy wasn't working, so he finally relented and gave me some experimental meds that had shown promise in trial studies.
I went home and immediately took a pill. That night I awoke again. But I noted this wakening wasn't nearly as bad as the last one.
Maybe there's hope for me after all.
I finally fell asleep, and then took another of those wondrous blue pills.

Hahaha! If I go to sleep tonight and dream of little blue pills floating around me while I sleep on a shrinking sofa ... well, let's just say GDTimothy won't wanna be around when I awaken, as it might be a bit more traumatic for him than for me!

I think this one needs a bit more work. Good start though.

How so? I'd be interested to know what you think more specifically! :-)
