Do You Believe?

When I was young, about 5 years old I used to see blue "angels" that would come to the end of my bed and I talked to them. My parents never believed me when I used to tell them that I saw them.
Then one day a couple years ago my mom was reading an article in some magazine that was saying a lot of kids see these blue "angels" when their young. They finally believed me after that. They apologized to me when they read that for not believing me.
If your child came and told you they saw angels, would you believe them? Has your child ever seen anything like this?
Any thoughts welcome

One of the things that many of us parents do is ignore our children based upon our perceptions of reality. I believe that if a little child told me they saw blue angels or any color angels for that matter I would never let the child fell that i doubted him/her whether I believed or not. Childhood can be such a magical time and when we doubt them, we take away the magic that comes with innocence. At least they finally realized that you were not just imagining this.

I agree, I would never put my kids down for something they believe. We all grow up to fast, why not let them enjoy it? I'm glad they finally had their proof through this magazine. I knew I wasn't crazy but I'm glad they finally saw it too.

I would be skeptical, just because when I was little, a lot of old and 'knowledgeable' people told me that I would be seeing spirits too. Some have told me that I have the mark that would enable me to see these spirits. I never did!
So, I may be skeptical too when my own kids would tell me that they see something. But, maybe I should read that article when they start seeing something.
So far no sightings yet.

No, don't be skeptical lol. You have a right to your opinion, I was only joking. I hope your open if they tell you that they see something because it hurt me when my parents didn't believe me when I was younger. At least try to believe them! =)

Wow it is amazing and yet scary. These are the lucky one who see angels, how about those who see devils demons and angry ghosts ? Personally i think these angels and such are not meant to be seen by normal humans because they are from other plain and dimension if you can said that. If it is normal , why not every child see these things.Personally i think better not encourage these things to happen.

I think seeing angels is a great thing! I would never discourage my children from believing because they do exist. I am proof, I have seen them. If they weren't meant to be seen than I would not have seen them and I did.
I think they come to certain children who are insecure or upset a lot and things like that. They come for us to talk to when we have no one else in our lives.

I will just give a simple thought out of the discussion airing. I don't have children yet, but I do have two niece. Whenever they were asking me and telling me stories, I always listen to them and tell them what's right and what's wrong based on what I have already learned and what I had known since birth. This help because they felt their stories are worth to tell with and actually, they are listening to what we are telling them and from that, they do learn. It's not important if you believe on blue angels or not, what is important is the attention you give to your children. Because what matters most is the relationship between you and them.

hi lilangelspreschool At five a child is so innocent how cou ld anyone not believe it, and as old Shakespeare himself said ,there are more things in h eaven and earth than are dreamed of in your philosophy. and I do think that is true. I was an adult mom with a little daughter close to dying and was praying in the chapel when this lady in white with a glow about her appeared and told me my daughter would live as it was not her time to go to God yet. The chaplain told me they had no nuns so the lady I saw was my guardian angel. My daughter did get well but four years later God did take her home to him. I think innocent children are probably even closer to the angels.

That must have been amazing. I wish sometimes that I could still see things. I do want to be able to turn it off to though when I get a little scared. I was not afraid at all when I was younger of the angels. I felt safe and protected.
I'm sorry about your daughter, I don't want to offend you so please don't take offense but what did your daughter die from if you don't mind me asking?

Hi, lilangelspreschool. I have never seen these blue angels at all. Or I may could have seen them and just did not remember them when I was younger. My children have told me that they have seen a monster or a ghost. I would believe them. But I know that they are telling the truth too. If they came up to me and told me that they saw angels, I would believe them too. Anything is possible, in life nowadays. I don't put anything past any paranormal experience that happens in life itself.

Hi lilangelspreschool!
You are indeed special. I believe what young kids say because they are honest. I told a friend to bring his baby around in case he's looking for a new house. And I told him to pay special attention to his baby in the new house. If he's smiling and happy, well and good. Otherwise if his baby is restless, it's best not to take the house no matter how much he likes it. Babies and young kids somehow know best.

Thanks for your response =) That's a good thought, babies and kids sense things that we sometimes don't so that was a good idea.

I believe in your story, there are people who can see angels and spirits which other people can not see, they called it the third eye and that is gift from God. Although I do not experience it and I do not want to,I do believe it and if I have a child and he or she came and told me they angels, I will believe them. And there are thing in this world that science can not explain, but there are proof through the many testimony of people who seen things like angels and spirits.

I want to see them again, as long as I know they are angels and nothing bad. I would definitely believe my kids too.

I can't say my kids have ever said anything about seeing angels but I remember when I was little that on a few occasions I saw something at the end of my bed that I always thought was my grandmother. My mum said that her and dad used to hear me talking to someone through the wall but they never knew who and when they would come into my room it was just me. So if ever my kids did say that to me yes I would believe them.

Yes, I do believe in angels and I do believe my kids when they tell you they saw one. Whenever I need something, I always ask my gureadian angel for assistance and the answer comes instantly....from the simple request of finding me a parking space to easining up the traffic for me to pass. My requests were all answered.
One instance I can recall was this: After moving around the parking lot in a very busy mall for about half an hour looking for a vacant space, I sked my guardian angel to show me the parking space that is intended for me. I suddenly felt the urge to turn in a direction and stop in front of a parked car. In less than a minute, the owner of the car approached me and asked if I could move my car so that he can leave. I was very thrilled as I can hve his space for me.

That's awesome that your guardian angel answers you like that. I think that's pretty cool =) I don't know if I have a guardian angel anymore but I know I used to when I was young.
That's a good story, thanks for sharing.
