Why do they use shelves in stores all the way to the floor?

And even worse, when storing pants on the display shelves, they put the smaller waist on top that is easily reached, but the bigger waisted sizes? They are all the way on the bottom. Are they entertained watching us grunt and struggle, and yes, rip our pants trying to get to the items on the lowest shelves? Do they do it to get more money by making it necessary to buy another pair of pants? I suppose I could have asked for help, but do you know how embarrassing that is? Other than the things I struggle because of my size, I am capable of most things. I suppose I should have complained to the manager. But I'm relatively sure he wouldn't pay me for the idea. It was WallMart, after all.

At my KMart the big guy jeans are separate from the regular sized pants. They are on movable cart- like shelves. So it is possible to make it easier. So either complain to the manager or, get tro know your inseam and waist and order you jeans online. I am a woman but All my jeans are men's. I know my inseam and waist and now I can walk into Any store and get jeans that will fit.

Well, dang, someone ought to slap me (turns the other cheek) - buying them online. I do that with books all the time, I have resources to do that with groceries (if I buy more than $100) - I would have thought with the overweight epidemic most mainstream stores would have the option, but I got the only 48 inch waist pants WallMart had, but they did have a 50 inch waist pair of jeans, which I did not need. I also know my size, it's just not carried typically by stores in my area. I'll have to find KMart in my area, it's not on my usual routes. Thank you very much.

KMart is just a block away from my work so I go thee often. Target is across the street from my favorite supermarket , Walmart? It is further away.Good luck with the jeans. Let me know how it went.

Boy it seems like it, and i am barely 5 feet, so they also put many heavy items above my head. I guess they feel they need to pack as much inside those four walls as possible, but it makes it hard to shop.

How true, but usually (at least in the US) there are signs encouraging people to ask for help on the items on higher shelves. I'm only 5'8" (shocked when it was actually measured - I always thought I was 5'10" - maybe all this weight bogged me down. Or does age make one shorter? I'll have to investigate that -) thank you very much.
