Does anyone of you experience a stolen cellphone? Cellphones are valuable items. It is very frustrating if we lost them just like that. There are many snatchers roaming around waiting for another victim. They mostly eye for new models and high tech cellphones, so be very careful.

I was victimized by a stranger before. I was robbed. that was traumatic. He got my wallet and my cellphone and even tried to kill me. He just leave a mark on my back that he pointed a knife on it and its very painful. I thought I will get stabbed before they will leave me, fortunately they just ran away after getting my valuables. I cried. I cried over frustration. No one helped me. If I will die there, i believe no one will helped me nor look at what is happening to me. Times like that, it seems people do not want to interfere. It is hard to lose a cellphone, because it is now a necessity, much more if you have the new brand. But more important is your contacts as these bad people can fool them that it is still you so you have to alert them that your cell is no longer with you and if anyone contacted them then it is not you. And when you lose a cell, it means you are starting from zero again. It is like something is dying inside you. That is so sad.

There is still snatchers and robbers in Makati. A friend of mine was victimized. However, it is seldom because it is always busy in Makati. Yes I hardly bring a lots of money going to Divisoria and Quiapo as those place is the place where robbery and snatching attack. I do not know if the police there are still doing their jobs or they are the people behind it.

yes i believe that those police do their job only that it is a big place they can't really make sure every body be safe so just make sure that you will not bring there any important. if you bring a cellphone there you should buy only those cheap cellphones those basic cellphone, those old school. anyways, i pass that way i don't bring out my cellphone. i just wait that i went somewhere safe. and i make sure i am in place where every body can see any one else and where running away will be difficult for snatcher like inside a mall. but you said there is also in makati but make sure yuo are inside the mall to be sure you won't be snatched. so we should really be careful.

I think even we seem to be very careful at times, there are still robbers inside and outside our house, our workplace and on the street. To grecychunny26, your experience is very traumatic sometimes it takes more that a week to cope up and move on. You may feel being paranoid everytime you walk alone and go home in the middle of the night.

Yes. My first Sony Ericsson's phone was stolen when I was in college. I feel so sad about it because it was a gift from my father. But I thank God that the bad guy didn't hurt me, it's just a material thing and can be replaced anytime. It serves as a learning experience for me and now, I am more careful in using my cellphone.

I am fortunate in that I have never had a cellphone stolen, however, I have lost my cellphone, but fortunately, I got it back the same day, as the person that found it called my daughter's cell. Now, I am careful that i don't have a purse where it can fall out, as that is what happened when I lost it, and if my daughter's phone hadn't been called, I would have never known that I had lost it in the first place. I try to take very good care of my cell, so I don't lose it or it gets stolen, as it was an expensive phone, and it is a very valuable thing as it is the only phone I have and use. Take care, and have a very good day.

I have had 2 of my phones stolen from my house. It was also traumatic for me as I woke up and the thief was at the foot of my bed. He had already taken my cellphones that were beside my pillow. I shouted and he just ran out fo the house. I'm so happy that he did that and not hurt me or any of the people in the house with me. It was very difficult reporting it. We had to report it to the police. Then I had to go to the regional office of the NTC (National Telecommunications Commission) to have the two IMEI numbers blocked. I had to submit a police report and the serial number from the boxes to get that done. It was such a hassle. No wonder many people no longer report their cp's stolen because of all the hassle. So far, I have never been robbed of my cellphones again. =)

Our cellphones were stolen in our house also. He got three cellphones and money in an instant! We have got a hint who did it but we don't have no evidence that's why he is still around. It was good that we were not harmed. We learned our lessons. My husband installed double-locked door knobs and additional fluorescent lights outside the house.
