Well, this will be my first experience flying since we're going on a family vacation. Right now, I'm rather calm, but I'm having nervous thoughts every once in awhile and these thoughts are becoming more and more common as the day nears. So any tips and tricks or thoughts of advice about flying I should know before the day arrives. I can't wait, but at the same time I'm very uneasy at times about it. Thanks!

I had my first trip on a plane when I was 14 years old. I found take off really exciting and I saw a view of the fields in the landscape below. Since then I have been on many different flights. I wear ear planes, plastic screw like things, in my ears to avoid pain in my ears before landing. These days there are strict rules about what can go in the hand luggage. Put scissors in the hold luggage and don't have any sharp items in the hand luggage. There is a rule about liquids and it is annoying not being able to take bottles of drinking water through the security. Sometimes I pack a one or two liter bottle -of drinking water in my hold luggage. Then if I arrive thirsty I will get a lovely drink. Do you know your seat number on the plane yet? In the past I found out at check in. Nowadays I book it on the Internet in advance. I like to get a window seat for myself and a middle seat for toddler son. It is lovely if there is a spare seat for my baby daughter. Good luck with your first flight.

Haha. I was also nervous and had worries when I had my first flying experience. I love airplanes and the crew. Traveling around the world is one of my dreams. Just stay relaxed and don't panic. :)

Oh how I love flying. Well, I like airports, I don't know why. I like walking around in them and just people watching and stuff. Depending on how long your trip is, bring something that will keep you occupied. Something like a PSP, game boy, a book, magazine, etc. Gum helps during take off - the chewing will help when the pressure changes as the plane ascends. Obey the captain when he does his little announcements especially with seat belts and what not. I personally enjoy the window seat. Some people like the isle coz it's convenient. Lastly, enjoy. Chill! Have a safe flight!! Cheers!
