Hello fellow MyLot members. Have any of you seen the movie, " The Last Airbender"? If you have, can you tell me up to what point it goes to? Is it just to the end of the first book in the avatar the last airbender series ( This is when they reach the North Pole, where they look for a waterbending master for aang and katara)? Or is it the entire series, with Aang fighting Firelord Ozai? Also, what details does it show? What I mean is, does it show the swamp benders in it? Something like that. It seems like an interesting movie, and I want to know more about it. Thank you for your help.

The movie is based on Book 1, the entire first season. So it ends right after they defeat the siege of the north. I had high hopes for the movie... but I found it really disappointing. A large number of great details are missing (The Kyoshi Warriors to name one.) and the script was poorly written. The story is rushed, important details crammed into a narrator's voice-over, the dialogue is cheesy, and one of the things that REALLY bothers me is that Aang doesn't even introduce himself until they've reached the Southern Air Temple. It had a lot of potential. The action sequences are stunning, and I think the cast is great. But it fell short in the end.

Really? It didn't have the Kyoshi warriors? That's one of the most important details that influences the next two seasons. Instead of just making the movie into the whole first season, they should have just made it into two movies. That way they have more time to put in the little details, and it doesn't seem so rushed.

They filmed scenes with the Kyoshi warriors but for some reason they got cut. I don't think it was necessary to make two movies... seeing as how The Last Airbender was really short and they spent time on some things that weren't that important. I could tell they'd initially planned for a longer movie but cut huge chunks out at the last minute. It would have done better if it was just a half hour longer.
