Average American Wedding Cost 22k!!! Really

Tonight I was watching Larry King Live. They were covering the Chelesa Clinton Wedding, that happened this past Saturday. During the show the news correspondants had asked each other if anyone knew how much this wedding had cost. Noone could answer. However one of the correspondants did reply and say that the average dollar amount spent on an American Wedding was 22 THOUSAND!!!!!! What is considered Average?

It is OK.In china,I need around 10K dollars to get my marriage finished. I am planing and it will take about 1~2years to acculate such money from salary of both mine and my GF. Come on, youngs like me!
