Does it matter that a woman has a muffin top, will a man still be attracted to her?

phenomenon of overhanging flesh(fat) when it spills over the waistline of pants or skirts in a manner that resembles the top of a muffin spilliing over its paper casing.

Sweetie, no offense, but why does there need to be a name for it? Okay, i don't have children and had no idea what you were talking about. Now that i know, it seems that a lot of women have this problem, but i am sure their hubbies still love them. I cannot see that it changes the person that you are. TATA.

a muffin top is OK to an extent, but I don't want it to look like she has two dozen muffins...LOL A little belly hang on a woman is perfectly fine...

A man will love a woman even if she has muffin top, if he truly love her.

@sahm35 It's never really about the appearance. It's really the person inside you. If you guys married each other only for the appearance, then that must be a very flimsy marriage. However, if you guys lasted through kids and all, and your hubby has declared that he loves you in spite of your physical imperfections, it only means one thing: he loves you for who you are, and doesn't mind that you have some imperfections here and there. :)

My hubby said that he did. I was just wondering... if he was truly attracted.

There sure are men who are attracted to muffin tops. I had to look it up to make sure what you were saying. If they are not attracted to women like that, then they might be headed for a surprise when their wife will have a child. He better have a good income coming in to get her a plastic surgeon.

If an 'average' man (i.e. one raised by the popular media) is given the choice between two women, is only given their pictures, and one has a muffin top while the other one doesn't, he will probably choose the one who is more-ideally shaped. (He might choose the muffin-lady if he has memories from early childhood of a muffin-lady who he really liked then, but--without any knowledge of her personality--he'll go for the optimum centerfold-lady.)

I suppose different people like different things. For me I don't think a "muffin top" is all that big of a deal. With that said, there might be expectations in some relationships that make this a viable concern. If the relationship was founded on both partners being fit and living and active and healthy lifestyle, I think it might be fair to expect that to continue...even after kids come along. At the same time, it is a partnership and if the person with the expectations is not pulling their weight that creates another element in the situation. Hopefully, things keep getting better...I've been married almost 24 years and I promise that as we approach fifty, all the parts are not situated as well as they were many years ago...and it's all good!
