For many of us, the past is something that is tied to what we have become. Either the negative or the positive experiences that we have lived directly affects how we perceive ourselves. In this past weekend's neighborhood reunion, I saw people that sparked many old memories some good and some bad. Is it important that we look back and connect with old acquaintences and the experiences we have shared over the years? Do any of you have occasions to reunite with childhood people that spark these memories? Is it important for our emotional health to have these encounters?

Hi,
I give childhood memories the highest priority. I feel a need to preserve these memories as they are the most pristine and happy ones. After adolescence everything seems to be a bit complicated. The more we grow up the greater becomes the number of obligations and responsibilities. It is true that we can't be as carefree as we were in our childhood days. But that is for the outside. Inside we can always refuse to grow up. The childhood memories are like restore points. We can revert back to these points anytime we feel insecure and utterly confused. None can deny the relationship between happiness and simplicity. This is why we should bookmark all those good times we had. Thanks.
God bless you

Childhood memories will always last forever either its good or bad, and I am lucky that I have a happy childhood only I was unlucky to connect with my old neighbors on that same place where we used to live because the old neighborhood was completely vanished to roads and buildings but memories of that childhood remains.

I am a firm believer that childhood memories are very important to us in our lives. These memories help us to choose the paths we follow in our futures. Experience is the best teacher. What better experience than a memory from childhood to learn from?

I think our childhood is what makes us who we are today so they are rather important. I have a couple people that I have seen since I have been older and we talked about old memories. It's nice and needed at times, at least for me it is. Other childhood memories, I would rather not remember.
