Do adults still get to be scared with lightning and thunder?

Well, I do... as of this writing weather forecasts said that a low pressure area is hitting southern part of our region, with rainshowers and light to moderate wind.
But as we are experiencing it right now... this is not a rainshower, this is a heavy downpour... and not light nor moderate wind, but heavy!
And not to mention there are lightning and thunder on the side too!
Yeah, I am a certified adult but I'm still scared of thunderstorms at times. ;)
Happy Mylotting!

Definitely, when I was younger I remember myself standing in front of the balcony watching the thunder from up close...I invited mum over - she said she'd watch the thunder from the couch.

I don't get scared of lightning and thunder that much anymore. I do get surprised when there's a sudden thunder. What I'm more scared of is strong winds and heavy rain. I get so scared I couldn't sleep. I'm afraid my roof will get blown off and we will get flooded.

I don't really freak out at the slightest roar of thunder or flash of lightning like some people. I mean, yes, they can be scary. In fact, I think they are supposed to be, right?
I have a friend who is very afraid of it. Whenever there's a thunderstorm, she and the rest of her family would hide in the basement.

I don't know about anyone else out there but I like sitting outside during a thunder and lightening storm, it is cool to watch. Of course if it is raining as well I stay inside and have a hot coffee and watch a movie instead. I don't like being rained on.

Well if you consider an 18 year old as an adult then yes adults do get scared sometimes especially if it's out of the blue and really loud I just hate it because I feel as if something is going to happen and the house will burn down or something lol but I haven't experienced a thunderstorm in ages we get a lot of rain but not much thunder here in England. I know they can be pretty bad in some places but because we're not used to it I may get scared/worried...

It is okay to be scared of them from time to time, especially if they are very loud and and boisterous. I myself get afraid of them from time to time. When they are calmer storms though, I enjoy them and they help lull me to sleep.

They only scare me when they get serious and/or dangerous. There is the occasional clap of loud thunder that makes me jump because it surprises me.

I am an adult and I am still scared of thunderstorms. Unfortunately, my son is also, and I try very hard not to show him my fear, but it is hard to do. The worse thing for me is when there are tornado warnings that come with a bad thunderstorms, those warnings really make me want to hide in my basement.

its very interesting to hear and see the sounds of thunder and the beautiful lightning. it lasts only for few micro seconds but makes us scare until the weather becomes normal.... i love to see those and i'm not scared of it.
