Why do you think foreigners married Filipina woman?

a lot of filipina are being chosen by foreigners to be their lifetime partner regardless of their beauty. Maybe because of the Filipina attitude of being a caring and hospitable ones and they do transform to become a good mother after wards... Anyway, there are other foreigners who choose filipina because of the standard cost of living is quite low and perhaps they wont spend to much staying in the Philippines while earning abroad.

well i have nothing against those Filipinas marrying foreigners... but it is already a mentality here that most Filipinas would want to marry foreigners for access to greener pastures and such... falling inlove is not out of the question but i doubt it exists in older people...=) but when i used to work in a call center one of my american customers told me that all of his american friends would want to go to our country and buy themselves a wife when they retire...! i felt bad about it..it hurts my dignity that they think that way.. that we can be bought!!! would you believe that? very insulting!!!

Well, you know what they say, different strokes for different folks. I think americans are attracted to the 'exotic look' of the pinay, coz maybe they are sick of the girls that look caucasian. They want something different. Then after the physical aspect, of course they would have to like the personality of the girl. Maybe they like laid-back and the kinda timid type of girl, the one who would not mind being submissive to her husband. But then again, in marriage, nationality isnt really an issue, as long as two people people are deeply in love. And thats what matters most when it comes to marriage and love in general right?

yes i want to agree with you and your husbands reaction. well for me, like your husbands reaction, he was looking at it physically with a Filipina beauty,and we have to admit that, Filipina women has her own beauty,that Filipino men don't like. same with the American maybe,or a foreigners, they born with those faces around them, so they don't find it beautiful at all for white women. yes i guess, what matters most for a white men is not the beauty inside us, but they beauty with in that they found in a filipina women, only.

I'm not sure if I can answer this and remain politically correct...but trust me, I'll try! My wife and I were invited to a Filipino gathering last year on Valentine's day and I would say that I found several of the women very attractive, but probably no more so or no less so than any other class of women...it did hep that it was a nice event and everyone was dressed up. I think I kind of relate to the kind, caring, and responsible attributes that your husband's friend remarked on...but in a different way. I think it has a lot to do with America (and probably some other countries) having so much-- a man who seeks a frugal wife is wise and probably will not find one in his own country because we (men and women alike) take all of our abundance for granted. This could be one of the things that your husband's friend politely refers to as "inner beauty"...I think it is a high compliment and very responsible.

I'm Filipino myself, many of my titas(aunts) have married foreigners or other races. I believe that the reason why they choose to marry filippinas is because they appreciate the beauty of the filippino women and their country. Filippinas are very different from other women because they have their own unique lifestyle and foreigners might be attracted to that. I also think that having different opinions and views on nationality and race while in marriage helps you explore and live life more.

Well, this is what I notice. Most of these foreigners who marry Pinays are usually very old already and I think it is only Pinays who don't mind the age for as long as the man can provide financial security. This is the set-up in most cases--the Pinay is a young lass, 18,19, 21, etc. while the foreigner is already 65, 70, 75, etc. Well, according to one member, it is because of economic crisis.

Because we are in the crisis situation we are lock of financial, most Filipino people suffer to this, and they think that marrying a foreigner is the answer..they think that this is the only way that their families will totally out of poverty.. but only few are them married successfully..most of them became a buttered wife and even others got murders..they risk their lives for the sake of their families.. i hope that before marrying a foreigner, check first their characteristics, background and status because this is not a simple way, your entire life are involve to this..money cannot make us satisfy and even don't bring us full happiness.. in the end love is the most important above all..!

Hi dear, As you said there may be some kind of psychological approach towards you people. I have no direct experience with any of Philippine people. Few things you mentioned about Filipina woman are absolutely correct. They are caring, lovely and above all naturally beautiful. This may be one of the reason why 95% of the myLot friends are from Philippines only. Getting married is a different thing. Especially, American life style much open and man need caring and attention and love. From the very childhood life style changes and people are not getting purity in whatever things they are looking for. Being pretty or beautiful depends on the eyes of the beholder. A person maybe pretty for you but not for me. These foreigners may see Filipinas as beautiful since they look different from women from their own country. Foreigners marrying Filipinas is not a big deal as there are many inter-racial marriages are there everywhere, so there's nothing to be proud of marrying a foreigner as marriage is supposed to be for love of two people not for convenience.

Most of the Filipina women who are married to foreigners are poor. They need money for them to live a prosperous life. And the foreigners love them because they are so caring and they will do anything just to make their husbands happy.

I am American and I have a Filipina Girlfriend. In my experience with Philippine people is they are very humble and gentle human beings. These qualities are very rare in American women. I visited the Philippines and I was a bit worried after hearing many stories about Americans being abducted and/or not welcome in many parts of the world. I am glad I went there to see for myself and not believe everything I read. The people there are so very warm and wonderful and I fell in love with everything about them and their culture. Age and outer beauty are of no concern with these people. Here in America it is a cultural block. Yes they are a very poor country and it breaks my heart because they deserve so much more. I am not rich but they accepted me as their own. I am working 2 jobs now and saving all my money to build a house and farm there and one day to marry a young lady I met there. Women in every country are looking for men with money and a stable future, but no matter how much you have, the most important thing to them is love. In my opinion, they are the sweetest people anywhere on this planet. God Bless all the Filipino people. Your very essence warms my heart. Here in America, we have everything and we tend to take it for granted. In the Philippines, they don't have much material wise and yet they appreciate everything they have. They have hearts of gold. Foreigners are attracted to exotic beauties, that's what you call it. They like women with tanned skin. But I think more than the physical appearance, Filipinas are very much likable because of their sweet personalities. They are more caring, loving, and fun to be with compared to the caucasian girls. They are wife material. They prioritize the family more than their career.

I think Americans marry Filipinas because they are very caring and easy to love. But those really young girs with very old foreigners sometimes disgust me. Since it is very obvious what they want from each other.
