How often do you get up in the middle of the night.

I think that becomes my daily sleeping routine. I wasn't sleep walking, I just felt like my body internal clock is working when it gets after midnight. Usually after 1 or 2 o'clock. I will wake up in the middle of my sleep, and I have to either get up, and grab a glass of water, or I have to go to bathroom for once. Then I go to my bed and sleep for the rest of the night until another day morning. Have this happen to you? Or is it normal?

That happens to me quite often too. I wake up for no reason, look at the clock and see that I still have time to sleep, and then fall asleep again. I sometimes need something to drink (juice/water) and go to the bathroom too. I never wondered if this could be something not normal.

Hey, I am one of those people, and I am not sure if I am normal or not. Lately, it just happen to me a lot. I don't know why I can't sleep through the night without getting up one time to do something. Mostly go to bathroom. I guess that I shouldn't drink too much water before I go to bed then.

I know some people do have to get up in the middle of the night, either because they feel thirsty or they want to use the bathroom, as you mentioned. I don't know how they feel about this, but getting up in the middle of the night seriously affects my sleep quality. I may wake up next morning feeling drowsy.

I have been getting up 2-3 times as a habit already since I was a kid. Not one day I will not get up either drinking water or visit bathroom. I also has a lot to think about so I don't sleep well until 4 am and I get my sleep right through 9am and wake up full of energy...he he

I don’t always wake up in the middle of the night but I seem to have small periods of time when it will happen every night for a few days. I don’t think there is anything too abnormal about it. It probably has a lot to do with what you may have eaten, how tired you are and how much fluid you’ve had before bed. I wouldn’t worry about it. If it is a concern why not mention it to your doctor?

Very often. It is not because my body seem to have adapted to such routine but it is because I have a baby who I'd often check every no and then. Moreover, her 3 year old sister would also wake up every night during odd times to check if I'm beside her. This is not easy because I am an insomniac and I want to maximize the time when I can get good sleep. I look like a zoombie, my husband just told me yesterday.

I too am someone who wakes up and has to go to the bathroom or get up out of the bed. However, I believe I read somewhere that a good number of people wake up in the middle of the night, though must are unaware that they have awaken at all. Sounds normal to me.

I get nightmares very often and during these night I usually wake up two to three times a night, this is very disturbing as I want to sleep but I can hardly do so, sometimes even if I am not getting any nightmares I might wake up because I want to go to the bathroom.

This rarely happens to me now but it used to. It was such a hassle that I did my research on sleeping through some of the stuff. And here some tips that I learned along the way - drink water before you head to bed. That way you don't get thirsty in the middle of the night. Plus, you're about to sleep for 5 to 7 hours without drinking. So it's just important to hydrate before heading to bed. Also, go to the bathroom before you fall asleep. This will keep you from waking up because you have to go to the bathroom. Good luck!

I am not really the type of person who wants to get up in the middle of the night. this is why i always do everything before i sleep so i wouldnt have to push myself too hard in the evening. sometimes, since i sleep late, i think my body is just too tired to actually wake up and get up so i end up waking up the next day already.

With me very rare. Once i go to sleep i sleep till the sun rise. So no problem of breaking sleep in the mid-night.
