I often get asked for directions, usually a couple of times a week. I am starting to wonder if I have some kind of magic sign on me that lost people can see!
Does this happen to you? Do you often get asked for a particular kind of help because you look like you know something or can do something?

With me it's people thinking I like playing with children. I don't!

Ive noticed that nobody would ask me for anything when my hair was blonde. Now I have red hair and Im being asked all the time.
I used to work for the Quebec L*quor Board in a store and we tested this. I was the only blonde, we had a brunette and a man. We would stand in line and see who the customer would pick to get an answer. They always picked the brunette or the man!! Usually the man first.
Then I changed my hair color to red and we did the same test and they'd pick the man and then me.
So Im guessing you're not blonde?

If you seem open to conversation, pleasant, etc. then someone in need of directions is alot more apt to ask you than someone who seems in a hurry and makes no eye contact. If you don't want to be bothered then i would avoid eye contact, don't act open to conversation and always seem in a hurry. Haha

Hi hvedra! This is a funny question to me because
I am always out walking around and people in cars always stop
me to ask me for directions! If I am in my neighborhood I can
sometimes actually give them the right response and help them
get where they want to go. But, more often than not I have no
idea. I have the worst sense of direction and can barely find
my own way anywhere!lol I don't drive a car to begin with,
which is a very good thing since I would be lost all the time!
My mother does drive and she is always getting lost. She lives
in Florida and went somewhere that was 10 minutes from here
house (where she has lived for over 20 years) and it ended up
taking her over and hour to get home! So it must be genetic!
