Normally in this situation, whomever is your senior should be the one to introduce you to the staff, give your credentials and state what your capacity will be at the company. Then after that you can do a short greeting of your expectations and a little bit of your work style. That is what I think is best.

Introduce yourself tell what your likes and dislikes. Your plans in the future and what is your favorite sports. In every company there is always a sports and recreation. Then try to make a joke in the middle of your speech so to make you at ease and comfortable to everyone.

Are you a newbie in the company? Just be confident about stating your name....but avoid being too much confident because others might think you're boastful. No need to say grand things about yourself, make your colleagues feel that you are comfortable in your own skin and the rest will follow. Too much talking coming from you may bore other people. Let it be a question and answer style, they will ask question then you will answer honestly.

Its always a good impression if you are going to make a power statement when introducing yourself. I learned this in the career workshop I joined a years back and I still remember using "I am", " I have" and " I can". Its brief introduction about yourself but you can say a lot of things already.

When i was at the call centre i had problems with the introduction. The introduction used to be so long that all the managers used to go crazy at it.
well...You can brief them about yourself.
- educational background.
- Experience if any.
- likes & dislikes.
