hi mylotters. cooking is an essential activity in almost all households. However, there are many reasons why people cook. many people cook because they have to take lunch or dinner. others have to cook because that is their profession. but there are also those who cook because it is their passion. what about you friends? Why do you cook?

Well I have really covered about al the reasons there are for cooking.
I cook because I love to, I get a lot of pleasure from cooking and creating new dishes.
I cook because I have a family to feed so I cook them three good, healthy meals a day.
And in the past I have cooked because it was my profession - I am a trained Home Economist, I have cooked in cookery demonstrations, in hotels, restaurants and for industry and I have also taught catering.
Cooking however is something that I never tire of, and I have had a lot of pleasure in teaching my children and now my grandchildren to cook.

Well like anyone we all have to feed ourselves and our families. I'd love to eat out but that can get expensive very fast even if it's for just one meal. I would not say cooking is my passion by any means. But I do like to think I've broadened my horizons rather than where my Mom had limited herself to cooking only a few certain things (even with a 2yr cooking degree)... I like variety and more veggies not just meat and potatoes.

Probably cooking would be my passion rather than a burden. I love to eat and am a good cook. However, for sure, cooking is hard work and cleanup is harder.

I cook for a lot or reasons. Because I have to eat. Because I want to know what's going into my body. I want to control the ingredients. I cook when I'm happy and I cook when I'm sad (usually that involves some kind of chocolate). And I cook to try out new recipes. I have cooked professionally, but did not like that at all. I guess cooking is sort of a hobby for me.

Hi nayaz1625, some days cooking is a burden - just think of what to cook can be a burdon. A specially if you have fastidious kids. Cooking can be a burdon as it is a repeated task each and every day. But Cooking can be a passion if you have friends over for dinner, then it can be a joy to cook something new exiting dash you never made before. Cooking is also a passion if you really are hungry. For me I would say some days it is a burden and some days it is a passion. It depend on the mood I am in.(smile)

Cooking is an essential in life. We all need to eat and feed ourselves and our families.
But getting back to your question, I love to cook when I have plenty of time to spare so I can create a tasty filling meal, which I can enjoy at my own pace and simply relax.
I dont really cook meals during the day, it all just seems to be fast foods or microwave meals, just because they are quick and easy.

Cooking is sometimes really interesting but sometimes it is boring .When you people around who relish the food you cook then maybe we get boosted up and we really feel cooking .Sometimes we are at a fix not knowing what to cook.Wed feel that someone should give us the menu and the ingredients then may be cooking will be interesting .I find cooking sometimes very marvellous and sometimes I feel bored to cook .

I cook to eat, but also to learn new recipes - not because I enjoy cooking, but because my daughter-in-law does and it gives us common ground to chat. That's the reason I learned computers, because my son is a techie and I wanted to be able to talk with some knowledge to him about his work. Ditto, when I got into real estate. My husband and his parents were all RE agents and visiting his folks for two weeks was excrutiating since they spoke real estate the whole time.
So, I learn things in Self Defense! lol
The nice part is that doing this stretches my mind and gives me a wide world of information to discuss almost anything. It's lovely.

Like other people, we need to eat to live. Cooking for some people is a responsible especially for mothers. But for me, I believe that when I cook in good mood it turns out good, so cooking should also be done from the heart. I usually ask by my colleagues what's my secret in cooking, because I usually been requested to cater in some gatherings though I'm not a professional cook. I always responded them that I'm not thinking of how much a dish will cost but rather I want people to satisfy with my prepared dish. I do love experimenting too for create new dishes. So cooking can also be consider a passion for me.

It is my passion and I need to cook at the same time here in the house since we have no maid. Other than that I am the one that is planning the meal since we are avoiding something to eat like high cholesterol and deep fried as much as possible but at times I can't avoid cooking it for some reason. It is a burden when it is time consuming and you don't like the food at the same time.

I cook because I enjoy it but I also cook to make sure that my family eats well. I want them to be eating nutritiously so I make sure that there is more than one food on the dinner plate. I try to make a main dish and also have fruits or vegetables along with meals. My hubby is a good cook but he has a tendency to want to cook only one thing and that is not enough for our bodies to get all the nutrients we need. Once in awhile I cook for special occasions and will bake a cake or other dessert for a special treat.

I do cook, of course, in order to have food to eat. I think cooking is both exciting and a little burdensome. It's nice to prepare food for your family and enjoy seeing and knowing that they like what you cook. But sometimes it is tiresome especially if you have to do all the preparation like for example the slicing, washing, peeling and others. Cleaning utensils after cooking can also add to the burden. But it is worth the job especially when we can eat good food and become healthy.

I guess to some it can be a burden especially when having to feed your family. but to some who really love it and wants to pursue it, then it can easily be a passion. I cook because that's my stress reliever, it makes me feel better.

Cookiing for me has always been a passion. i have always enjoyed it. I wasn't that good at the beginning, but i learned well. Now, i can't remember a time that I wasn't happy in the kitchen. I would never say that cooking was ever a burden to me.

Cooking for me is essential like most families, especially for dinner.
However I really do enjoy it as well. For some reason it calms me down and gives me a sense of comfort, that even though times are tight, I still can find ways to get food on the table for my family.

Cooking is my passion because I cooked from my heart. I am always meticulous in the ingredient I will be using and I make sure it was delicious and enticing. I also love to experiment in my cooking to serve my love ones a fresh and new to their taste dishes. I want to make an impression and I want them to be happy through the dishes I can offer to them.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a chef I only cooked for my family and to all important people in my life.
