Majority will stand with Direction....
since there is no path too long and perilous to the man who advances carefully and with a mission, whereas reckless speed devoid of direction is the safest road to blunder .....
But we do need a balance between the two
those who believe in some kind of balancing act would go on to suggest that a person who has already located his destination in life...and got his track and bearing right...can afford to spurt and speed...
So life needs to be a vector quantity..
Now what's your opinion...Have you got both??

rephrase of quantity over quality, a balance life is at most the perfect, but sometimes life is not an easy control access like a car with an automatic or manual transmission.

hi...i would go for direction too... what will you do with speed if you don't know where you're heading to..right? as long as you have a direction.. you can go there in a lowly but surely pacing...but in life.., the balanced is more preferable..so if you can balanced bot direction and speed..so why go and settle for the less? =)

My opinion is that once you figure out "what" you want to accomplish, you are only then able to figure out "how" to go about achieving it...sometimes it comes to you all at once, other times in bits and pieces. That seems to be a huge piece of the puzzle with how quickly one is able to progress. Unfortunately, I think most of us figure out the meausurements and close our minds to infinite possibilities that may allow for a quicker realization. In other words, we allow the status quo, expectations, and reasoning to get in the way of the breakthrough we desperately desire.

sagar I have always thought direction most important but speed wisely used can further some peoples careers. I dont know if I any longer have any of that I am retired and elderly and just want to write get it published and enjoy the rest of my life. so I leave all this stuff up to people still pursuing their goals.

my point of view is that both matters however direction takes precedence over speed. Speeding up in life without direction is useless and direction without speed can also be quite frustrating. So you need a balance of both and add up 2 things determination and discernment then you get it all in balance. determination would fire up your desire and passion to succeed while discernment will help you weigh things carefully to what direction would you be taking at that point of your life and the speed you need to achieve those goals and ambitions.
