With over 7,100 tropical islands, Philippines is the world's second largest archipelago. Philippines a country famous for its natural wonders and active volcanoes has a vast expanse of coral fringed islands located in the western Pacific. The country proudly claims to have some of the world's best water sports and underwater activities. Do you have something in mind that you like to share about our country? (more specifically best travel destinations)

my favorite place in the country is coron, palawan. my friend invited me to go with him and his friends there last year. i just fell in love with the place. their beach is so clear that you would wanna go snorkeling all day if you could. i've actually been bummed the whole day since he invited me to go again tomorrow with him and his friends, but this time i can't go. i am going there on november though.

we went to kayangan lake last year, but we didn't go spelunking. we just went swimming and snorkeling. we wanted to go up and hike, but sadly, it's that time of the month for me and my friend, so we couldn't get out of the water :) hopefully the next time i go there, i don't have my "monthly visitor" to fully enjoy the experience.

I have to agree with you my friend. To add, Kayangan Lake is a must-see in Coron. It is brackish water, very still, and almost 20 feet deep. We donned our snorkeling gear and checked out the corals and rocks underwater. The lake is like a stetch of still blue framed by the glorious rocks from all sides. Everything here is true nature. After snorkeling, we checked out one of the caves nearby and negotiated the slippery rocks and dark interiors. If you are into spelunking and diving, this is a wonderful spot for you in your itinerary (if you plan to go back again-I recommend this place). Or for the not so adventurous, you can just commune with nature and take your fill of the formidable boulders that only a Magnificent Being can create. One thing I took note is the stillness of the air, interrupted occassionally by the muted murmurs of visitors.

The Philippines can offer excellent opportunities for island hopping and snorkeling the coral reef. If the traveler goes to Bohol Island he or she can see the wildlife and the Chocolate Hills. I have heard Boracay Island is a real gem like tropical island. The Philippines has less well known islands that are even more picturesque. I know that Palawan Island offers very much adventure sports and eco-tourism. One day I will visit the beautiful Philippines and have an excellent time.

I live in Bohol the past two years and it never ceases to amaze me, the beauty of this place. I'm used to the city where I grew up and although living in the city gives all of the basic amenities, I find that I didn't miss it as much as I thought I would when I moved here with my family. I'm in constant awe of the scenic beauty, and I understand that we Filipinos took our country too much for granted.

I've been to Bohol about 3 years ago and it was a very unforgettable experience for our group. We loved the view of chocolate hills and I took some pictures of it. We were able to see the Blood compact shrine overlooking the Panglao Island, the manmade forest. We ate our 'eat all you can' lunch at the Loboc River on a River Cruise; the food are so delicious; served hot and so yummy; a lot of our favorite seafoods fruits and veggies were all served. I also saw a lot of historical places: old churches, old houses, museums, etc...and the cute little tarsiers are one of a kind. I'm proud I visited Bohol same as you my friend. It was a dream come true. Thanks to the people of Bohol for the warm welcome! :)

Hmmm... not to forget that we also have one of a kind festivities here... Maskara, Ati-atihan and the like. Filipinos have a lot of travel destinations to offer. Some of which are Boracay (the famous), Davao, and Bohol. Philippines is really a Pearl of the Orient. :)

I loved Boracay! It was an amazing vacation that offered peace and relaxation as well as a grand night life. If you want to be right in the middle of things you can stay at a hotel right on white beach. Boracay is fantastic, the beach is excellent, the bars and resto's are great, the hotels are good the people are fantastic. Indeed, Philippines was called the "pearl of the orient" because of its richness in natural resources especially in gems like pearls.

I have always been fascinated by the beauty of Batanes. I was fortunate to have visisted the place once about 15 years ago. The place is very pristine and people are friendly. It is very much different from Manila where I grew up. I have visited so many places locally and abroad but nothing still compares with Batanes which I would like to call the Philippine paradis. If you love nature still in its pristine state, I recommend you visit Batanes.

With breathtaking sights of wide pastures, rolling hills and idyllic mountains and the seas, there is no doubt that this province is beyond compare and ready to welcome tourists who can appreciate nature’s timeless beauty without the fancy comforts of a hotel. I have to agree with you my friend, I also recommend Batanes to everyone. :)

The choral garden at Puerta Galera is amazing! It's the beauty of the nature at its best paraded right through your eyes. You could scream like so this is how beautiful indeed God created the universe! You'll get the realization when you visit Puerto Galera! Whether in tight or big budget that you'll surely enjoy diving, snorkeling, boating, beaching Puerto Galera has all to offer. We've gone also to this remote 'Tukuran Hidden Paradise' and it was a paradise indeed. We enjoyed to cool water. We played like we were back at our childhood. We never felt the fatigue because we walk instead of riding a carabao (felt pity on that poor industrious creature). I love animals by the way and Tamaraw which can only be found in Mindoro (where Puerto Galera is located) is now considered one of the most endangered species.

I would say more than the volcanoes, the mountains, the rivers, seas or beaches... we have our people! I mean, We are a whole lot better than many other countries in terms of being hospitable. Of course when people do think of travelling, we only think mostly of the place we are to go... The natural wonders are such abundant in our country, we have hundred islands, Palawan Islands, and i believe the beaches here in Palawan is sooo much better and serene in any other beaches. We have the perfect cone, that is right! We have a volcano, within a volcano and that is just a few hours drive!! can you believe that?! Up north, there are pagudpud beaches, down south we have mindanao and its natural wonders of untouched beaches!! Our country also have the oldest and most historical catholic churches too!!
