How would you react in this situation.

Something terrible happened to someone I know. It was a holiday so all his family, even nephews are staying at the same house. Do not read if you are easily depressed. The house they are staying in burned and he was the only one alive. He was still in shock at the funerals. Don't talk much and always by his own. How would you react to this? I think I would choose not to get out in the first place. I can't imagine life without my loved ones.
