I've been receiving some e-mails from those who are listed in my contacts with no subject and the content is just a link.
Most links looks like a link to a personal blog with a name that you can associate to the sender however when I clicked it (yes I took the risk heheh) it was redirected to another site like healthclub rx. net (I placed an spaces so that this will not become a link). I stopped the page from loading before it could load the entire page. Even though I am protected with a good antivirus plus I'm going through a unit with comodo firewall installed, I don't want to take more unnecessary risk.
The target of redirection is canadian health club (at least that's what the title says).
Is it a worm? Or a form of ad-ware?
Has anybody encountered this?

I'm finding Yahoo Messenger to be extremely buggy as well. I get links in my email inbox and from what I presume to be bots on my YM. It's annoying because my YM starts up but freezes before resuming. Sometimes, it goes into "not responding" mode and that can be frustrating.
About last week, my inbox received a message about Yahoo asking for you to confirm your account by replying to that address. I think that's how the worm or virus infiltrates users.
I have Comodo too. It does a great job, but for now, we'll have to steer clear from these links and be careful.
Stay safe everyone! :)

I believe the bug is on the Yahoo messenger indeed. Probably the senders' computers were infected and sends those unwanted link. I installed K9 webp rotection in the computer that I used to open it and opened the site. I know K9 blocks the known sites that spreads worms and other malware and reported to them the site for investigation, they replied that it categorized the site as an illegal/unwanted site.
I believe that the site itself contains no malware but there's an adware that sends those links

there is not a new worm i don't think Just watch and you might want to do a scan on your computer to see if you have spyware or adware on your computer. These and others can make it seem like it's coming from your email but it's really coming from those who have the spy stuff on your computer. Watch in downloading softwawre that you are not familiar with the site because they could add stuff to your computer and put it folders where you would never find it. I had to do a scan and I use microsoft which is free from microsoft .com. I use yahoo email and have for over 12 years now. I won't use hotmail or gmail because I have in the past and have had several issues with spam. Also, watch out and if there is an email you don't recognize or one that is from a company that you don't recognize then you should unsubscribe to it and list in the spam folder. You can look up on yahoo search what has been listed as spam sites or scam sites as well. It helps to do research on this. There is a lot of businesses that will say that they won't spam which means they are sending you multiple emails during the day or through out the week. I've been told there has been a coupld of emails going around that they will put in the title and it looks like it comes from people you know but when you open it it's a spam letter trying to get you do something overseas for some barrister. That's a scam. They wont firewall your computer because I've opened them on my computer before but you need to be aware of the email instead of the name. If the email matches your contact email then it probably is from the person you expect to be from. It's a boggus email like saying that you have a fed ex package and wanting you to contact fedex to pick up. Fed ex delivers to your house and sends a tracking number with that works for you to see where your package is. Contact that company to let them know that there is a spam email out there giving there company a bad name and it will eventually stop.

I dont think there's a new worm in yahoo but i think that's probably a spam mail.
Never open the attached file nor the links included in the spam mail.
That could eventually lead to infection and could steal most of your private data's, passwords and others.

Hi! I don't think yahoo mail is safe anymore. So, we all have to be careful when opening mails. I think this hackers even have a device in knowing your password. Pretty sad.

I got an email saying it was an important letter and please read immediately. When I opened it up, it was a trojan horse and I had to run my antivirus to get rid of it. So beware because there are worms and trojans going around.
