I think everything can be solved, no matter what, you just need help when you are in these kind of situations. I had a time when i was depressed almost all the time, from different reasons, because i am fat, because nobody likes me, because my brother and my father called me stupid, no matter what i did, my friends betrayed me, and turn their backs on me, so in time all together made me depressed almost all the time. I wasn`t sleeping too much, because i couldn`t, and when i did, it wasn`t a quiet and peaceful sleep, i was eating too much, and a lot of chocolate, and other sweets, and i was getting more fat, than i was until then. But now i can say i`m fine, i`m not depressed anymore, i am thin, i found a guy that loves me the way i am, and i am very happy.

Depression can come from the many things, which causes an person to feel pessimistic. Some signs that indicate depression are change in personality, fatigue, loss in sleep or weight. Somebody diagnosed with depression will experience these signs verses somebody who is depressed from loss of an loved one. The only way you'll know when it's getting serious, if when you go to the doctor and you get diagnosed.

It was something I could not solve in our friendship when I was in my school days. I am now over about it coz its no use thinking something which is already past. I am now still have sleeping problems like I will wake up 2-3 times in the middle of the night to go to toilet, and to think a minute about what has been a day for me. I will then go back to sleep and wake up the next morning. Although depression can be over, you have to be cautious that if something bad occur to you again, be sure you have a solution to it or else it will lead you depressed again. Most important is that you have someone to talk about this and you will feel better each and everyday.

I have had several depressions. When I am depressed I usually lose my interest in everything, I also lose my energy and my appetite. Sometimes I hardly eat anything for days, and I don't sleep much either. My thoughts get really negative and I am not able to see things in a bigger perspective. Instead of thinking: "I am feeling bad right now, but I will get happy again", I am thinking: "I am feeling terrible right now, everything is bad, I am never ever going to get happy again and I am never going to get interested in anything again" It is not true that I will never get happy again, but when I am in the middle of a depression, I don't believe that things will get better, and my thoughts focus on the negative aspects all the time.

The main causes of my depression are my family, work, money, boyfriend, and practically not getting the things that I want. With my experience, If I'm depressed and its related to my family / boyfriend... I just cry.. I'm quite a cry baby so I cry a lot in my room. But of course in front of everyone, I look very tough. Then I will have sleep problems then I would start listening to emo songs. If its related to work, money, and not getting the things that I want... I usually keeps myself busy. Also I tend to eat a lot of chocolates and junk foods.

We do not feel to eat at all, we want to remain quiet and all alone, in our room, not talking to anyone, and though we have something very interesting to do we can bypass them all, because we are simply very depressed.

Depression can occur to anyone especially to those who experience great problems. But of course, there is a solution to that and have normal life after going through a depression. I experienced depression when my parents got separated and when I got married and experienced so many problems at the first stage of our marriage. I felt that everything in my life was a mess. I can't sleep, I always cry, I get angry always. I even thought of going to a psychologist or psychiatrist. But I realized that even if you talk to a psychologist, it is still yourself who can help the most to remove that depression and most of all, through the help of God. But of course psychologist or psychiatrist can also be of help. In my case, I tried to bring back my faith to God. I went to church always and regain my spirituality, asked for His guidance and strength. When I got a job, everything changed. I was able to put things in perspective and had a good relationship with my husband. Although my parents are already separated, I was able to accept it and have a new life now. But it is a process. There is no instant solution to every problem. We have to trust God and help ourself to. We have to face and handle the properly whatever the cause of depression if we want to have a good life.
