Yesterday I answer 27 discussions and today I was surprise to see my earnings. It just increased .03 cents. I was frustrated and I asked my self if its worth the time.I know that how mylot compute ones earning should not be placed here, but I really want to know what happened. I asked my other friend and he told me that he perform 1 discussion and he earned .01 cent for me that was unfair, Can anybody tell me what could probably happened. My discussions is lengthy and it was not erased.

It depends WHEN you posted. MyLot time is different from yours and their day ends at midnight THEIR time ('MyLot time' is shown at the bottom of the screen). If you posted, say, 3 responses before MyLot midnight and 24 after, this might explain it.
MyLot is NOT a 'pay-per-post' site. The algorithm is complex (and proprietary - we are not allowed to discuss how it works). We ARE given some clues, however, in the FAQs and elsewhere. It is clear that the QUALITY of our participation is important and we are also told that the Discussion Rating System is 'factored in'. That means that the way that others rate our discussions, responses and comments is significant.

Thank you for the posts and for all the mylotters who posted their responses. You are all correct about MyLot time. I was able to get my earnings after two days. I have learn a lot from your posts. As you can see I am not that active here and I don't know all about my lot.

Just a tip. I checked your 'started discussions' and see that you do not comment back to those who respond.
You only earn for what you post and youdo NOT earn for the responses that your topic receives. Those who post them earn for them.
You can earn by commenting on them and turning your topic into a discussion (which is what myLot is for) rather than just a question with some answers.

Hi Laarni,
I really don't know what could have happened. I will tell you that we are not supposed to start discussions about our earnings so if this discussion gets deleted you will lose and so will everyone that responded here. I'm not saying this to be rude but rather letting you know so that you know. I don't know how they compute earnings here. Maybe some of yours will show up on next days earnings?

Drat, I learned something again today. I was commenting to the members who commented on my discussions out of courtesy. I didn't realize I earned from it. I guess it pays to be polite. I appreciate your input, it has helped me again.
Prosperous mylot

It has to do with the clock and different time zones (and, of course, if we start topics and don't comment back then we are not going to see earnings increase by much).

It all depends on what time of day you answered these discussions.
You need to remember mylot time is different from your own, so some of you work may have run into the following day.
This would mean that when you check your earnings today after they hae been updated they will probably be higher than you expect.
You will find the mylot time at the bottom of the page.
Hope this makes sense and have a great say in mylot.

That is really strange. When I first joined myLot, I responded to one discussion and started one discussion which had over twenty responses and what I did was just to comment back on all the responses. I even had quite a few banter with a few users. And when I checked my earnings, I had $0.36 for that day. It was encouraging.
Now I feel that myLot is not instant in updating our earnings. What you did yesterday will not be apparent in your earnings today. It takes them longer to update your earnings. But it will show. Just be patient.

really, maybe perhaps the administrator of this site does screen the discussion replies that we are making. or anything else. but by the way is there a clear allocation of how much do they pay per answered discussions? do you know something about this? I don't know either.

If you read ALL of the FAQs you will learn how to use myLot correctly too.

Hi laarni, I hope you still remember me. Anyway, I think you have to wait until the next day. I'm not sure, but from my experience, I often see the earnings I earned after around 2 days. Like if I started getting active today, whatever I earned from today's discussions will probably show up the next day on my account. I think its because of the time difference. =)

maybe the contents of your replies or posts are just minimal. the more words or the more descriptive you are on your posts, the more value it will have. quality is better than quantity. so if you post only one post but it is so descriptive in nature then it will have more value than posting 10 posts per day but contain only 1-2 sentences.
note:
i didn't read all the replies, so if this is a repost or re-reply then just kindly ignore my post. thank you.

It pays to read previous responses.
You might learn something too.

This will probably be deleted but yeah, that's weird. It could be because you talk about earnings a lot on here. I've heard you earn more when you aren't chatting about making money and online earnings.

hi there... i know the earning criteria is really ambiguous here..because i noticed that my earnings are decreasing too even if i maintained the same number of posts per day..but maybe they are counting more on the number of responses rather that the relevance of your posts..i'm not sure..can somebody pls..clear our minds.=)

1 day ago, I only commented for a few discussion and I received 3cents today. I don't know how much you have to perform or how the system works to make money since I've only started a day ago and I've only earned 9 cents. I've gotten into a lot discussions today, I'm hoping I'll earn a better amount tomorrow.. The past days I've spent here, I've noticed it takes a day to recvieve the money.. maybe the 3cents you received was from the day before.
