Do you take naps during the day?

I am on a holiday, I have three weeks to enjoy without any obligations exept the once I put on my self. So I go to sleep late, but still wake up as I would go to work, so during the day I get sleepy and need a nap and fall a sleep. And during those naps I actually dream, and I dream a lot. When I feel I need a nap I lay down and fall a sleep and my intention is to sleep for lets say 30 min, however I can wake up two to three hours later and feel I lost important time a specially when I am on a holiday. How about YOU, do you have day naps?

I must admit that I'm really not the nap type of person. I don't really take naps very often. The only time that I might ever take a nap is when I'm really really sick, or I haven't gotten a lot of sleep, during a very busy time.

Every1 should have a nap every day. It is good for the health and give you strenght to do more during the day. I know when I have naps at work on my lunchbreak I am not so tired when I get home in the afternoon and I have more strenght to do more work at home. If I do not take that short nap, I am so tired that it feels a burdon to do dinners, cleaning, washing etc...so a nap a day is good for head and body...

I would be happy to be able to take a nap, but I work everyday and I'm busy most of the time, I sleep only at night.

Oh I know what you mean. I have 30 min lunch break. I feel that is to short. You only have time to eat and no time to rest. I have taken up that with my bos, so we may change that. I rather work 30 min longer if I can have at least 15 min extra for a short nap at work. I work as a assistance nurse so our breakes is really no breaks as we are in the house and always availble.

Sometimes I do take an afternoon nap, when I didn't have enough sleep the night before. But I nap only for 30-45 minutes. Your situation is normal, your body clock is not used to waking up late. And about feeling you lost a lot of time of your vacation? ATleast you get to enjoy those sleep hours. I just don't understand about you dreaming a lot??

Yesterday I fell a sleep in the afternoon. I sleept for an hour and when I woke up I was so tired that it felt like I have not sleept at all. I did not enjoy that even though I am on a vacation. I do not like those naps. I hade to put on coffee so I at least could wake up enough to make dinner. This made me not fall a sleep untill two hours after midnight. And this morning I did sleep longer then usual. So I am glad today.
